Where's the HNW proxy

Where's the HNW proxy option?

There's no option for those of us, giving our proxy to the Partially Protected Depositor group led by Gavin Brake (aka HNW).

Hopefully , we can demonstrate that to the IoM Govt that we're not so gullible and naive to fall for their spin and sign away our rights for no tangible benefit.

Retain your rights - Vote NO to SoA!

Still undecided? Tough or not, it's make your mind up time.
Whatever you do, use your vote.

Don't leave it too late, VOTE NOW or your vote may not be counted.

I have just tried to give my proxy vote on the poll twice but was only able to give it once. Please record x2 for us as we both are depositors and both have a vote which we want to give to DAG voting against the current SoA.

Thank you to all DAG members who have worked so hard. Much appreciated. Ready to help if needed.

No Ostriches Allowed I see

No Ostriches Allowed

I see your point about changes but that must not stop us doing what we can to be proactive.

Many many people as you realise have not even received their paperwork yet.
Of those who have many find it extremely difficult to decipher.
Most people are obliged to print scan and email .
Some people may have only limited access to a computer so repeating things makes sure that they see information when they are online.
The IOM is well aware that most of us are distributed around the world yet is running two 'roadshows' in the IOM to promote its SOA yet only one in the UK.

So do we want to give our vote to the ostriches?

Nope so send your vote /proxy/ discretionary

Now is the time for

Now is the time for ACTION!

Some have complained that there has not been enough ACTION in the dAg. Well, the time has come for us all to act, not to save the IoM but for ourselves. Those who trust IoMG will no doubt vote yes. For me, any trust I once had has gone.

Bellyup and kevin's posts below say it all.

My vote has gone to DAG.

If the SOAScheme of

If the SOA is turned down the IOM BY LAW have to trigger their DCS.

They have kept over 10000 people away from their money for too long.

The resultant publicity will cause massive loss of confidence in the IOM.

Unless they get their act in order and GIVE US BACK OUR MONEY.

They will be obliged by law to find that money some way .

Probably first thing that will happen that Mike Simpson will have to distribute the money he has - about 20%.

The SOA is designed to save the IOM taxpayers who have happily lived off our banking business for the last few decades.

DAGDepositors Action Group

DAG definately get my proxy vote. They have kept us together, kept us informed, given us legal representation and advice. Just tell me who else in this whole sordid mess, IOM, HMG, Iceland is working on our side? For those who are not decided, you may see them as less than perfect but believe my they are the best you've got!

TRUST ! I think you have

TRUST ! I think you have answered your question clearly in the last two sentences of your penultimate paragraph.

IOM know the money will come back from UK. Signing up to the SOA means they don't have to give it all back to us. There will be no one to appeal to if they cheat us.

Beyond 27 May, what

Beyond 27 May, what follows?

My wife and I both want to give DAG our votes that will help us get 100% of our money back. If you remember it's DAG's mission statement!!!

The pros and cons ( I won't call it infighting) of SoA v. DCS are shortly to be timed out by casting our votes. Before we do so we would like advice as to what happens after the Court hearing on 27th.
We all, as individuals, have our own priorities and at the moment SoA is purported to give my wife and I £50k each sometime in June 2010.
Selfishly or not we desparately need that money.

If the SoA is approved what happens then? Does DAG turn its attention to the UK Authorities to ''recover'' the rest of everyone's money and at what cost to US THE DEPOSITORS ?

If the SoA is defeated what happens then? I don't see liquidation following as the next step as I believe the IOMG just has too much to lose. Presumeably there will be another round of negotiations. For various reasons I believe the meeting point of IOMG and DAG has not yet been reached and I also believe behind the scenes negotiations between the two are ongoing as they are with other parties.

Honestly folks if we had upto or a little above £50k we would be very happy with the SoA and vote 'YES'. If you have a lot over £50k it's a different story. Who is going to get the other £160k owed to us ? For those with a lot more than that it's a big, big problem.

So where do we put our TRUST ? Is it in DAG who tell us nothing and can't tell us anything for obvious reasons or in the IOMG and its SoA who treat us dishonestly while attempting to save their own skin.

Can anyone offer a scenario as to what they think will happen after 27 May ?

Best wishes to everyone.

What if I just want to vote --does it still go to Edwin Coe?

Instructions for Proxy

Instructions for Proxy voting are clear.
The forms are the same for the Proxy down load as on the KDFIOM bank down load.
The proxy vote should be sent to Edwin Coe - address on the instuctions - you can't miss it.
You can leave the voting "Yes" or 'No" - ticked or unticked.
The main thing is to get the vote off in time.

If you find it so stupid, then abstain, and go away!

It seems to me that putting

It seems to me that putting the "give us your proxy" on every page I pull up on this site is a little over the top.
The agenda for the vote has been set and circulated and that is that!
Any changes to the documents would nullify any and all votes, surely?
So we would be back to another round of voting and another 6 weeks delay which in any event appears too short a time for everyone to vote on time.
Yes the internet is an option, but since we have 2637 members out of ????????????? then that does not appear to represent a majority even in class 1.
If I have no choice but to print, sign and scan ---where do I send my vote? and is it acceptable?
Seems to me like another case of breweries and p**s ups!
This farce appears to be endless and the only winners so far are the accountants and lawyers(situation normal then).
Do they have ostriches on the IOM cos they got some who appear to be putting heads in sand---must be cos they are all silent right now.
Hair dressers and plumbers do not need fancy business plans, just gel and paste it seems---is there a plasterer to cover the cracks?

Cynically yours

"I take it, er Peasant, that

"I take it, er Peasant, that you have no intention of applying for a job at Gallup!"
No offence taken.

Since I'm past most people's idea of retiring age, I don't think you need worry about me as a competitor when you apply:) Besides, I'm not retiring yet.
