Thank you for your e-mail.
We note you were disappointed that the Chancellor of the Exchequer was not questioned on the collapse of the Icelandic bank Kaupthing, Singer and Friedlander during his interview on the 'Politics Show' on 16 November.
The programme issued a broad appeal for questions that viewers would like to see put to Alistair Darling and were grateful for all the suggestions they received.
They did debate raising the issue of Kaupthing, Singer and Friedlander with the Chancellor but felt that the issue would need more context and explanation than it would be possible to offer in the time available during the interview.
The team at 'The Politics Show' are very keen to cover the issue – but want to do it justice. As a result they are planning on covering it in the form of a short film with a reporter. This will hopefully be broadcast either in next week's programme or the following week.
Once again, thank you for taking the time to contact us.
Regards
