Is this not the time to demonstrate, right in the face of IOM Government, right on its doorstep, that enough is enough! How much more are we supposed to endure.

Was yours a Derbyshire account until Kaupthing took over?

I feel that it should be emphasized that we were in a British bank - no different from the branches of Bradford and Bingley, Northern Rock, Nationwide, Britannia, Skipton etc, some of which were saved by the UK government - until the untimely take-over by Kauphthing.

I am not sure if this is useful but I invested into the IOM Derbyshire Building Society on a recommendation by the Daily Telegraph Newpaper buisiness section, Saturday edition if I remember.

Hi, one thing that worries me, and I surmise many many other depositors is that we shall not be around when/if we get our money back.

Am I understanding this correctly: The Derbyshire was fully aware that Kaupthing was having problems, but they still transferred accounts?
