Short for "web-log". On this site a blog entry is simply a type of post which (by default) does not allow comments to be made, and which is visible to the public and search engines such as Google.

Creditors' Committee.

Depositors Action Group. The KSFIOM DAG is effectively the collective members of this site. DST is a key sub-group of the DAG, and are probably supported by the majority of DAG members. Other sub-groups exist.

Depositors Compensation Scheme - compensates depositors up to a monetary maximum limit (IOM scheme is currently 50,000 GBP), or to their account value if below that maximum in the event of a financial institute failure.

A key player in the early days of the Action Group, especially in establishing the Group's legal representation. Now less involved, having emigrated from the UK.

The DAG Strategy Team. Earlier there was the London Team, then the Legal Team, and now the Strategy Team - changes of terminology and to some extent, personnel. These people are involved with "running" the DAG, communicating directly with DAG's legal representation, and defining strategy and activities for DAG's day-to-day operation.

Early Payment Scheme - IoM scheme to provide some financial return to depositors (but in the process, depositors lose voting rights relating to the sum paid.) The original scheme (EPS1) paid 1000 pounds, the second (EPS2) 10,000 pounds. At some point IOMG will be reimbursed all amounts paid out under EPS from the assets of KSFIOM

The DAG's Forum Site at chat.ksfiomdepositors.org is primarily intended for use by KSFIoM Depositors. Much of the content is only visible to registered, logged-in users. In practice however, since the registration process is open to anybody, the site users may or may not be actual depositors.

UK Financial Services Regulator

The Isle of Man Financial Services Regulator, not to be confused with the UK's FSA.

Her Majesty's Government, i.e. UK Government.

"High Net Worth". May also refer to the so-called "HNW Group" (whose name is arguably misleading.)

A sub-group which formed in the early days of the DAG. The HNW Group was so named because at the time it was made up primarily if not exclusively of members with high value deposits at risk (typically GBP 250,000 or more.)

The "Liquidator Provisional" was appointed by IoMG to handle the potential winding-up of KSFIoM.

A popular IOM internet 'chat' forum supposedly read by politicians etc. Expect plenty of abuse and flaming .

The Liquidator Provisional (LP) appointed by IoMG (FSC) to handle the (possible) liquidation of KSF IoM.

The DAG's Public Site at www.ksfiomdepositors.org is intended for general viewing, i.e. the media and anybody else interested in our cause. In general, all information on the Public Site is visible without registration (or logging in) and so is also visible to search engines such as Google.
