He cracked the same joke once again and very few laughed now.. When there was no more laughter from the crowd, he smiled and said:

Apart from being a shock the self-induced collapse of kaupthing has been a political lesson, pretty much for the victims only, crime pays for the guilty. The culpable haven't really been touched. From the 'kick the can down the road' approach of the IoMG, the pathetic performance of the UK TSC, and the still rampant duplicity of the financial class, we can only say we are the wiser.
The Titanic like behaviour of the muchidumbre at the time of the SoA debate was depressing. Manipulated by the IoM govt (Bell you stink to high heaven) fronting up the captive regulator and their resident criminals, and they are still invited to the table.

I remember a poster of the from the sixties.. a list of grievances from the Czech underground that finished with "We will not forget." But I'm aware I'm going to be dead first.
As the human race continues to drive the boat at full speed into the cliff of environmental disaster the financial crisis we just witnessed pails into insignificance. The same crew are at the helm.

Crime of ignorance?
An astute exposition follow-the-tao, but not everyone posseses your expansive vision and many find you difficult to comprehend. The human race is indeed in a dreadful state, unrecognised by the majority and unfixable by the few who know how truly bad it is. If we've not grown wiser and less gullible by virtue of this experience then we've learned nothing; if we do nothing with this profound knowledge then it goes wasted. The cliff is looming before us, but the throttle of waste is wide open as we collectively pelt towards unimaginable catastrophe in oblivious self-centric concern. We have constructed a massive over-build of everything - all powered by petrol, the ubiqitous energy of choice, but finite - and its finitude is already upon us. Popular wisdom declares that Ignorance is no crime, but I prefer the saying that there are none so blind as those who will not see -- we choose to ignore the obvious.

Laughter is a quick fix and when the reality of Lifes' PAIN catches up results in the flow of Liquid emotion known as crying.
Each person deals with lifes' trauma in their own time..
