I just got back form the IOM and court hearing - immediately got into this. To be posted around Westminster on a few key underground stations and bus sides or backs on these routes where we can still hope shame the treasury into 100% return I have been a successful international London/New York/Johannesburg Art Director all my life . Peak earning years for this profession 20 to 40 - 80% of my life savings and my late husbands (best selling music author died of Leukemia in 1991). I should be in Egypt (where I know live) and en route to New York soon. So am offering my services ( I’m used to working fast) to get some winning campaigns together before I return - which should be soon.
I am speaking to an ex colleague today to get some idea of Ad space costs/production etc.
Dover do you think we should thrash some of these out (printed) to hand out to anyone entering the TSC on Tuesday Feb 3rd - can you put my name down as "in".

Posters aimed at HMG/T

Agree 100% with the principle - let's get the word out! Only I would say let's get the right words out. It's not clear that attacking HMG will be the best move. Supporting the idea that HMG make or support a loan to IoMG seems to me a valid strategy.

My suggestion for words:

Brown: "It (the money) does not belong to the UK government"
So why haven't they sent it back to its rightful owners?

(need to check the exact quote.)

Like "only solvent Icelandic Bank"

I like the second poster - "the only solvent Icelandic Bank".

Please let's do it this time - anything helps to further our cause.

If we can decide on the correct words we could all print out our own and send them by post to Mr Brown and Mr Darling as well

If they were coming in everyday it might focus his mind on us.

I mean ALL depositors 8000 or whatever the right number is.

I agree -- the wording is crucial

I agree with you ng -- the wording is crucial.

The words must be like newspaper headlines THAT
SAY LITTLE BUT SAY IT ALL !

eg:

BROWN & DARLING

IT'S NOT YOUR PROBLEM
BUT YOU HAVE THE SOLUTION !

GIVE US BACK OUR £550Million

Pithy, pointed . . .

The suggested wording is pithy - says a lot in a few words, and pointed - points towards a proper solution. We need some support from the UK public - perhaps if they are helped to realise that it might be their turn soon.

Should we just create a poster and print it out for Tuesday's TSC hearing? I am going and I am sure the other folks coming along will be keen on this too. May be Leibeink has some thoughts on this.

That was my point I The reason why I returned from the IOM on Friday and immediately did these poster on Saturday, but I've heard that Diver thinks they should be put about after the meeting and the main focus on the 550m loan (yes yes agree), but I think these would have been effective with Channel 4 TV etc present - even if we are only holding A3 or A4 small flyers in our hands at this point and handing hem to TSC attendees especially key treasury people.
Time is of the essence and timing is everything in this world.

We could stick some around the House of commons/give them out - preferably to any media representatives that might be around
