I have recvied a ltter from my MP sent to thim by Paul Meyers about KSF IOM. It is a two sided A4 letter in essence sayign that the problem lies with Iceland and IOM Governemetn to resolve.

Is there any email address or fax number I can send this to for the London Team to see, if you do not already have a copy of such a letter?

I understand your concerns and we have had a few questions regarding whether the Icelandic Government will have to bail out Kaupthing. I can confirm this is not the case. We have not had financial assistance to date from them and we do NOT need their assistance now. We remain in good financial health, we are well capitalised and have secured funding for more than the next year. In the retail deposit market, we have raised over 5 billion euros this year. Kaupthing is well capitalised, our equity ratio is high compared to other banks (11.2%) and our cost to income ratio is among the lowest in Europe according to a study by Arthur D. Little (the independent international management consultancy group).

I understand your concerns for your deposits, but your funds with Kaupthing are safe during this difficult period.

Kind regards,

I saved a page from Kaupthing Edge's site on 8/10/08, with their assurances of "... with this guarantee customers have peace of mind that their savings are secured."

It's saved as a MHTML document. If it's of any use to you, how do I send it to you?

Yes, I think what you need is on the public site under "group reports" then "Derbyshire + S&F" Are we going to see the Derbyshire hierarchy squirming in their seats at the next Treasury Select Committee?
