I see there are over 2,500 registered users on this site and yet I only count just over 40 comments left on the Manx Herald's website in response to their Editor's excellent article summarizing our plight. It seems to me that it's the same few that are always putting themselves out there and fighting for the many. If we are to have any hope of getting our collective voices heard, we need EVERYONE to speak up when offered such a golden opportunity as this. By the same token, anyone who has even a few pounds to spare should be directing that towards DAG's fighting fund, without whose efforts to date we would not have come this far.

A number of depositors are putting great faith in the Manx Herald without realising that it is basically a one man anti establishment website operation that appears to have a great dislike for messrs Bell and Brown amongst others

Contribute if you wish but efforts would be much better directed where people that matter will actually see them. I live locally and I and most of my friends had never even heard of the Manx Herald before

Some depositors maybe under the mistaken belief that it is an actual newspaper website. It is not

Ramsey resident maybe you have some better links who will publish our stories them and keep this in public awareness as its obvious to everyone that the IOM wants to BURY US.

If so please could you print them here.

As for it being a one man establishment well at least its one man who is in OUR corner!

Have you ever travelled over the mountain down to Douglas, I know its a long way over Snafell to the big city for most of you retards.

Stick to Parish Council politics and that is too much for most of you bunch of Indreds

YES I am manx Port Erin if you must know, and am fortunate enough my parents saw the light in the sixties and dragged me away before I became a moron such as yourself!

Mekong, you are a moron plain and simple and you cannot spell either.
If all you have is abuse then shut the fcuk up and go back to your delta hut and get some more of the local jungle juice down your neck and go to sleep---your postings are nonsense and all you do is criticise--you contribute naff all.

I am surprised that Ng has not blocked you by now.

Intelligent and insightful, as ever.

Lucky you got out before you became a moron/retard. Otherwise you would never have been able to pen such thoughtful comments.

My only concern for you is that if both your parents were Manx, you might have been inbred before you heroically escaped the island.

Have you checked recently?

I object strongly to your personal abuse you have posted. I was actually trying to be helpful with my posting - I will not bother in future

Just as well you left the IOM as your kind are not wanted here so sling your hook pal

Ramsey Resident, if it helps I also object to that post, and yes I am aware that the its a little known site, in fact one depositor on the IoM knows the 'editor". I believe they are nighbours. Thanks for the info though.
Mekong as a matter of interest why put your money on the IoM then?

When I first found my way on to this site (within two or three days of the bank's collapse, I think) I remember that Expat was the voice of reason and a source of great comfort to me. Here we are, six months down the line, and that sentiment still holds true. Expat, I am delighted that you are still amongst us and that you have not been driven away by all the backbiting between some members. I, for one, thank you from the bottom of my heart for all that you have done to date and all that you continue to do for us. You are STILL the voice of reason.

Hello Wanda, yes I remeber our exchanges hope you are well. The backbiting saddens me but I do understand the fear and desolation in people, not as if I get through every day with a cool head believe me!! As my wife would tell you I do have my moments of great anger over this. There are many differing views I understand that, and it never drove me away, I just have a family that needs time from me as well.

Anyway I do what I can and keep in touch with very many depositors worldwide. Sir Geoffrey Howe has just emailed me in fact to tell me that Nationwide have no legal obligation in this issue, I actually asked him to use his influence to get HMG to comply with the TSC, but I can see how very difficult that was to grasp for such a senior former politician!!!

Take care and keep pestering those politicoes, many of them are listening. They just don't act to well!!!!

Thanks very much for your post, your comment was indeed helpful. You did not in any way deserve the abuse you received from this individual - please don't see his response as representative of the group. I really do hope you are not put off by this.

Dear Ramsey resident.
I can totally believe that which you write.
I imagine the average Manx resident prefers IOM Today which seems unaware there is a banking crisis on the island but prefers topics like dog shows, the sighting of dead marine mammals and TT racing.
This may sound slanderous but it was the average Manxman who voted for this parish council that calls itself a government and which is not capable of opening dialogue with HMG to solve this problem.
Perhaps Manxmen should enter the real world and start reading the Manx Herald. Next time they may vote in a proper, competent government.

Just a thought but my first attempts were thwarted because the captcha had an 'O' in it. I kept hitting the number button instead of the capital letter. Once I realized the difference, it worked. Remember the old adage..."if at first you don't succeed, try, try again". Here's hoping.

Good Luck and again my very best wishes to all you good souls who are going to be in IoM on 9th.

Posted my comment this morning, very rare that any of my comments posted pass censorship, so come on folks don't hold back leave your comments now

I Posted

"To the Editor of the Manx Herald

SIR I Salute You!

At a time when the editors of other manx publications are kow towing to the corrupt individuals masquerading at IOMG and FSC and not printing anything that may rock the boat one newspaper editor has shown that he has at least still got a pair."

This shows what Manx Herald are prepared to publish

Thanks, Mekong

Wanda,

As I said I was very suprised that the Herald published my comments but IMHO the fact that they did goes to show how far on our side the Manx Herald actualy are.

Some come on fellow DAG members don't hold back, time to take the kid gloves oiff. As well as praising the Herald for fighting our corner also let out a little bit of that angst that has been pented up for the previous 6 months whilst IOMG and FSC have been treating us like fools, the Herald are our only ally.

PS Nice to know I raised a smile!
