John Cashen, one of the architects of our dire situation, is a senior figure in the Manx Operatic Society. They are performing a musical based on the sinking of the Titanic from Saturday 21 March for a week. According to a magazine from the Isle of Man he has a singing role in the production as Isidor Strauss, a founder of Maceys Department Store.

I have an Information Technology puzzle for ng.

If people from around the world, who had cheap and plentiful internet access were to log on to www.villagaiety.com (the web-site of the Isle of Man Government operated theatre where Titanic is being performed) and tried to buy tickets but didn’t complete the process, and then accidentally left themselves logged in…

Would that crash the villagaiety site ?

Would that mean that people couldn’t buy tickets ?

Would that international act of civil disobedience get us publicity ?

Would John Cashen be shamed into action, and spur the Isle of Man Government into getting us all our money back ?

There is diffirence in site administors , one site is run by IOM Gov and the other by the poor DAG member ng having very limited resources.
This topic will not give any help to DAG for achiving any thing.

Shall we go as extras

No, not likely to cause them great technical difficulty (unless designed as a deliberate DDoS attack - let's not go there :)

What might be interesting though, would be for DAG to buy up all the tickets, for one particular night? Then just not turn up ... or turn up and haggle? Need the media ... PR is not my field!

Just logged on to theatre site - you can't book online for this show. Funny that they usually allocate a chunk of tickets for online purchase, and the rest for phone and personal booking.

Maybe the Government IT wizards had already suspected some activity.
