There seems to be some confusion about how to contact other users, resulting in 100s of "please email me xxxxxx" forum posts clogging up the board. Are you sitting comfortably? This is how it works:

To email another user click on their username, then the contact tab, and you'll get a form. If you don't see a contact tab, that means the other person hasn't enabled messaging (it's off by default, and/or some users may not want it).

If you want to enable people to contact you - go to the "my account" link on the left, then the "Edit" tab, then ensure "Personal contact form" checkbox is ticked, and other registered users will be able to see your contact form and send you a message, which will be forwarded to your email. They won't see your email address unless you reply to that email.

When you send a message to another user, they will receive it via an email which will have your email address visible in the "reply-to" field. If they want to respond, they can just hit "reply" in their email client and send you an email, after which you just continue to communicate via email - no need to use the contact form each time.

That make sense? Thanks...
