Does anyone know of an off-shore bank that truly guarantees your money ?
I narrowly escaped depositing my life savings in KFS IOM. They are now buried in a stainless steel watertight box in the garden just in case my house should be struck by lightning & burns down taking my mattress with it.
I have spent long hours trying to find a bank that will give me the assurances I need that my money would be totally secure with it -- NO LUCK ! If you know of such a bank would you please post it in this thread as I am sure depositors will be glad to have this information WHEN their money is restored to them.

I was wondering about this too. Like many others I am a pensioner living outside of UK. If ever our money comes back to us where the heck does one put it??

If you give me your address,

I appreciate the reasons why that discussion may be useful, but we already have far too many threads on the site and want to keep it focussed on issues directly related to KSFIOM etc so we discourage posts that only concern other banks.

When we all get our money bank, you're welcome to ask again.

Appreciate your help.

a deep hole on South Georgia in the South Atlantic probably is safe. They have very low crime and the penguins are friendly

I was thinking to myself with the current economic climate should I be looking at political or economic stability? I have always in the past opted for political stability, but now it seems maybe that was the wrong approach. Time will tell

http://petitions.number10.gov.uk/banking-ids/

This petition was raised some time ago, and its noted that there has not been a lot of support. Maybe this is a good time for some action to take place. So I urge all you British citizens to sign this petition, it will only take a couple of minutes of your time

This petition is calling for UK residents who do not have passports to be allowed to open bank accounts, stating they shouldn't be forced to buy a passport to open an account.
It doesn't directly help us. See here:

Not sure this is the right petition. It talks about people without passports not being able to open accounst. Perhaps thats why there is not much support.
