Will anyone be posting a report/informal minutes from this meeting? I think the membership needs some guidance, suggestions and advice on where we go from here. The next round of affidavits have to be submitted by February 12th, which only gives us 9 days. Let's all rally behind those on the front line and step up the pressure on IOMG for 100% recovery

Perhaps a new list of things all Members need to do, emails to send, letters to write etc. needs to be posted at the top left of the page again.

I have been watching the membership counter increasing steadily over the last few days, indicating that more people are becoming aware of the DAG, and the link to it on the bottom of Mike Simpson's latest update.

When a person joins up, is there any kind of "welcome screen" which gives them some direction on where to find the key points of what has happened to date, along with suggestions to join relevant groups, vote in polls and other things they can do to help our cause.

I've just written to all members of the TSC thanking them for their efforts to uncover the facts. The letter in summary said:

  1. Regulatory failure (FSA/FSC) as they have highlighted is a possible cause of action. However, this will take a very long time and may require costly litigation. (Equitable life as an example)
  2. There is a solution and that is to press The Treasury to expedite the release of KSFIOM funds held in KSFUK or at very least to make E&Y declare the likely dividend.

What little faith I had left in the IOM Gov't is now gone. They will live with the consequences.

TSC - good job

Ditto. I agree with all you say - especially with your Point 2. I'm also writing.

What information for new members?

It's clear that membership is slowly but steadily increasing - 18 new registrations in the past 24 hours, 12 in the prior 24 hours, and it seems that these may be people who have only just found the site. As an example, I spoke to a British lady in Italy yesterday - she had called the DAG voice mail number and asked someone to return her call - I've subsequently update that page that shows that number to explain that we're not really geared up for returning calls. However because that had not previously been made clear I called her in response to her request. What became clear was in her case at least what we have long suspected was in fact true - that many depositors are older people who don't regularly use the Internet, so are unlikely to find the DAG site nor become members. She had found the DAG site whilst trying to find information on the KSF IoM situation. We are easy to find on Google - currently #1 for a search of ksfiom and #2 for a search of kaupthing isle of man.

So, we can probably assume that membership will continue to increase gradually as more and more desperate depositors turn to the net and Google to search for information. It is indeed feasible for them to be directed to a specific new users information page when registering, and the automated email which is sent on registration could be updated to include key information. That said, I am not sure what such information could consist of - I would welcome a group effort.

ng, I suggest that the key information requirement would be satisfied by the TimeLine Document given it is a day by day account of our problem with links to relevant court papers, media articles, chat & public site threads, all of which would serve to bring people up to speed.

Hello Everyone

Just found this site and am desperate for advice

I have a special needs fund I was advised by my financial guy to invest mony in IOM/KSf/

I put money in a 32 notice cash account and money in a one year fixed deposit account, through Royal Skandia.

76 days later I seem to have lost this money. It was invested to provide for my care needs in the future.

Some investment.

So, I am severly disabled and have just found this site and I really ned some advice, and want to join with people who know what they are doing.

I have asked Malcolm Moss MP to tke my case up. he has written to Alister Darling and I await a reply.

Meantime I am in limbo

Any help will be greatfully accepted

Perhaps you could start here: another good source if it is not included ithe link above is to go to the 'Public Site' (button at top left corner of this page) and see timeline etc under 'Facts'
