Reply form Simon Burns M.P.
I recently received a reply form Simon Burns M.P., the Conservative Whip, and it would appear that the Shadow Treasury has taken up our cause and is pushing the Government over its mishandling of the Icelandic Banking Crisis. But it maybe that I am very naive!!

Thanks very much indeed for your email and attachments...
I do share your concern with regards to the Government's mishandling of the Icelandic Banking Crisis and I do find it disturbing that the Government have used anti-terrorism legislation in these circumstances. I have already taken this matter up with the relevant Treasury Minister on behalf of one of my constituents, and I very much hope that the Treasury will grant the return of the KSF (IoM) assets that are currently frozen.
I hope this is helpful in clarifying my position on this issue and I hope that I can reassure you in saying that the Shadow Treasury team will be continuing to press the Government on this issue.
With best wishes,

We attended the rally when Margaret Thatcher landed by helicopter to support Mr. Burns when he was trying to take the constituency over from, possibly, Norman St John Stevas, and also fund raisers when Jeffrey Archer, for one, spoke up for him, when we were still living in Blighty. Perhaps I should remind him of the good old days! We'll give it a go, and fire off yet another round of e-mails to MPs and try to keep up the political pressure.
