I have always advocated action day in day out.

One day lost is another day waiting.

We need to set up a PR company who can basically do the rounds and remind the Press, the Politicians of who we are and our cause.

They would do all the donkey work on a weekly basis( similiar to a debt Reclaim Service)

It will cost a little but the way I see it if we dont do something this will drag on for years.

Believe me it can and will if we dont set up new strategy.

How do you think that Channel 4, Sky News and the Times amongst others came to cover the Treasury Select Committee?
The press do not automatically pick up on press releases.. We do, as ng says, have VERY experienced people on this even if we AREN'T paying them! A press release goes out whenever there is news to tell.

MUCH more important to put money into the legal fund.. we are really going to need that!

Sorry to sound peeved.. but a HUGE amount of work goes into PR.
What about the new DAG public site home page.. also aimed at having an impact..

We actually have somebody with extensive PR ability and contact network already in the group. In general, given the skills and experience within the group, I very much doubt that it would be more effective nor more economical to look outside. However, people are working on a voluntary basis, it may not be viable to continue that way.

If we have someone in the group then I would be happy to pay a monthly fee for their services - all of us together puting in 25 GDP would go along way in banging our drums for PR.

Again I will say it, they're doing a great job. They are never likely to come forward to ask for donations, and speaking as someone who knows, its extremely difficult for a person who has spent his or her working life earning sensible income to have to admit to being on "donations", let alone actually ask for them.
