Poll-frenzy seems to be taking place taking place, probably a good thing. I've enhanced the poll facility to include a text area called "background and objectives". Those who have created a poll should find you can edit the same poll to add that information.

You may have noticed that there's also a new link marked Vote: Current and earlier polls. Would all new-ish members please make sure they have voted on older polls.

How do I see the results?

You cannot see the results until you have voted.

Can I change my mind?

Yes, you can cancel your vote and vote again, until such time as the poll is marked closed (if ever.)

Polls in forums

When creating a poll, you can optionally mark it as part of a forum - this will make it appear in the forum views such as New forum topics and Active forum topics, otherwise it will not be shown there.

Polls in Groups

A reminder that polls can be created inside Groups. Please do this if relevant (e.g. currently there is one in the "Foreign Currency" group because the poll is only relevant to members of that group.)

Newest poll

The newest poll is shown lower-left.

Who can create a poll?

All members can create polls (this was a recent change, the feature was previously restricted.)

Don't forget also the Simple poll option which is easier and quicker to create.

ng - unfortunately once members have started voting, a poll can not be edited (eg: to insert 'Background info') without the edited version returning the poll back to zero

Should not this topic be under the Site Asmin: & Functionality forum ?

... should be possible, for example to edit your current poll: http://chat.ksfiomdepositors.org/node/2627/edit -- in general you need to be in the full view of the poll, and then click the edit tab.

Well spotted, I've now moved this to Site Admin/Functionality.
