From what Expat is saying up in his bunker it seems we need to now make a more co-ordinated effort/challenge in the direction of Downing St and thise in the IoM can't be in two places at once (naturally we will need to co-ordinate this closely).

I'm in London so I'm more than happy to be involved, organise, harangue, cajole and any other word you care to think of. However we need a face for this and I am certainly not it.

We need someone to step forward who we can put up in front of the press as a true representation of our plight. I hate to say this but the worse off you are the better...sorry but it's time for reality.

I (and I'm sure a lot of others) will be more than happy to support this person (these persons?) 100% and do whatever it takes for them to meet who they need to, to be seen by as wide an audience as possible and generally get their story (stories) out there.

To paraphrase Lord Kitchener....'YOUR ACTION GROUP NEEDS YOU!'

Diver, Expat, Sleeplessnight

Can we put together a list of media etc that we can contact re the delivering of the petition?

We also need many many more to sign up to have the best effect.

It seems that the V2 draft has been accepted (no additional comments have been made) so lets go with that version.

Re the timescale, do you guys prefer tomorrow or Monday?? If possible it would really be effective if efforts could be made to deliver it at both (three) governments at the same time.

Expat, excellent...

I've put together a list of contacts I've scraped off the site. busy putting it into a spreadsheet that I can post on the site so we can then have a central contacts database that can be added to easily.

Looks like we've got the petition almost tied down, still some comments coming in, and thanks to Diver for helping out with the redraft.

We need a couple more things to make this work.
1. I've asked NG if we can have a 'sign up for petition' button put onto the home page of the site, so that sign-ups are logged via this site rather than the stop-gap email I setup today.
Hopefully, this will make everyone happier to sign up.

  1. We need to coordinate our actions. Diver & sleeplessnight are in London and have said they're happy to coordinate there. If you can handle IOM, and I know you're probably worn out now, that would be great.

Then all we need to do is make sure everyone signs up asap and set a date/time for the delivery.....

To date I have written to everoyne including my MP, david Cameron Alistair Darling.
actually I have written to my Mp three times and I suggest everyone else does to keep the issue high profile.

What else positive action can be taken?

I'm getting in touch with Sleepless later on to co-ordinate the London petition on Monday...I see no reason why we couldn't take in another London landmark along the way :-)
