Hi,

My MP has just emailed me and in this email he states that there are other depositors in Tyne Bridge consituency (Newcastle/Gateshead) who have been affected. If there is anyone from the north east who wants to get in touch? Form a group? Lobby our MP's in a joint fashion? Any ideas?

Regards,

Carlos

Hey,

I am glad I set this up. I was feeling anxious as my emails were I believe, being ignored or curtly responded to by my MP.

I don't think they have any comprehension of how we are all feeling.

I did get some type of apology this morning from my MP as follows:

"Dear Mr Herbane

As you are aware from your correspondence with Andrew Rosindell - who incidently should have advised you that he is not able to take up your case as he is not your MP - other MPs are pursuing this as I explained.

I cannot give you specific dates and times of meetings, correspondence etc that these MPs have engaged in. Nor can I let you have details of my interventions on behalf of other constituents as I would need their permission to do so. I have not taken up your own case previously as I was awaiting confirmation that you were my constituent - I am sorry if you let me have your address previously and somehow this has not reached me.

I will of course refer your particular circumstances to the Chancellor and I will let you have the response as soon as I have it."

I am going to be relentless in persuing Mr Clelland in being specific in how is supporting me/us. I am sure if he had fallen fowl of this tragedy, he would do the same.

Carlos - you are not alone!

We live in the area and have also been affected - withdrawal of funds not actioned when requested as is the case with so many others. We can only hope this mess gets sorted out to all our benefits.

We have e-mailed our local MP (Doug henderson) on multiple occassions now. He has replied each time and promised to make further enquiries - still awaiting outcome. We have also e-mailed David Cameron and received his 'stock' reply mentioned on many entries on this site. We also forwarded the 4 questions for the Treasury meeting on 3rd November as suggested.

I've also mailed Doug Henderson as I'm in this area, using a c/o to my friends address- I received the strict protocal blurb bit back, replied with home address (France) and although prominant in the original email I also stressed again "if I'm forced to return to UK full time - then this will be the area I'll be living" - not a peep since

Just sent another e-mail to Doug Henderson containing most of the text from Diver's entry 'Brief your MPs'.

We live permanently in Newcastle but are away at the moment so are not able to read any letters sent to us - have requested reply via e-mail. Will 'post' any responses we get!
