All those whose interest is to be paid by the DCS (as opposed to directly by the liquidator) should read carefully and digest this latest update - www.dcs.im

Note that all who have submitted the necessary form (or do so by 31 March) will be included in the first payment round to be paid « no later than 31 May ». So patience still required !

I am still in hospital so unable to deal with any queries. Please do your best to help one another!

All the best,
Anrigaut

I've received a response from the DCS advising that they've received a number of representations similar to my own to reconsider payment by cheque. They advised these would be considered but as of now payment by cheque will remain. No advice as to whether the cheques would be posted by registered mail so I suppose mail will not be registered.

Incidentally the DCS ended their email by stating the following:

"Please note the primary purpose of the DCS email is for form processing matters. If you have a query that is not in respect of form processing matters. Please could I ask you to delay such queries and refer to the DCS website where updates will be posted for the depositors as a whole. It would aid us greatly if future correspondence to this email account is kept to a bare minimum".

It would thus appear the DCS does not welcome representations from we mere depositors, The sooner this sorry 12 year saga ends the better !!!!

I received exactly the same

I received exactly the same reply. I thought the last paragraph was a disgrace.
If they are determined to post when we have no postal service i guess I Shall never see that money.

Well done to those who have emailed DCS about this. Their final statement seems quite uncalled for as this surely counts as ‘essential communication’ as per the 27 March update. They did not say this concerned only form processing. As we don’t know when the cheques might be put in the post, are you supposed to wait until the cheque is already lost before raising the serious problems with post in some countries?

I will not email myself as post to France is not suspended. But I would encourage anyone in a country where postal services have definitely been suspended to do so ASAP!

I received the final payment on 31mar2020, directly into my Bank Account.
At last, we see and end to this long and sad saga!!....I think we can all be thankful that it was
a positive outcome in the end!! So sad that some of our number didnt make it, to see the final outcome...my heartfelt sympathy to them, and their families.

As we progressed through the various stages of recovery, this site has been such a great source of information and advice. My thanks to Anrigaut, Gordon, Ng(Andy), and everyone else who has contributed to keeping us well informed. The work you have all done, has been tremendous, and greatly appreciated.
We will never meet, yet this site has brought us all together like a family, as we went through this drawn-out affair!!
Now it is time to say farewell, and I wish you all, future success and happiness!!
Anrigaut...all the best for a quick and full recovery.....come on!!...you need to enjoy the final payout that
you worked so hard to achieve!!!

Again.. with sincere thanks to all who worked so hard on this!!!

rgds/Bill

Not yet home, but improving steadily and expecting to go home in a few days.
Good to hear the dividends are arriving for non-DCS / non- EPS depositors as I await my cheque from the DCS.

Best wishes to all and thanks for your good wishes and thanks.

Funds received in to my HSBC account on 31 March. As many have said, it is the end of a long road. I suspect i am not the only one who was horror struck a decade or more ago when my instructions to close my account were mysteriously mislaid and a significant element of retirement savings were at risk. How I cursed my naivety at not seeing through the euphemistic "North European" bank. I was on the site seemingly every minute of every day hoping for good news. Ironic that we are now closing with another crisis and yet again a government (albeit of a different colour) which doesn't evidence a lot of control of the situation. Unlike some poor souls we are here to enjoy our final pay out and cope with this next challenge. Big, big thanks to the small group of key people who have looked after our interests and kept us so well informed. May everyone stay safe and well. God Bless.

Hi peeps. Those that have received money I am assuming from posts it was paid direct into your nominated account rather than a cheque that has been suggested? Also again I am assuming non DCS ?

My mum is the depositor and elderly so not going out at all so will not be able to check her account so also wondering have you received a letter advising you of the transaction?

John

Hi Sunnysouth. I received my final dividend on Thursday (2nd) afternoon and yes, this was as a result of the payment to all the people who did not go for DCS or EPS. The DCS should now have been paid and will be distributing those funds as soon as they are able. In fact, when I had not received a transfer by Thursday morning, I e-mailed the KSF/PWC site (iom_ksf(?)pwc [dot] com) to ask if there had been a delay. They replied very promptly, saying the funds had already been sent and, sure enough, the transfer arrived later that day. I do not think there will be any confirmation letter about this.

So, all this is finally coming to a close. I can only add my heartfelt thanks to all the people who have put so much time and effort into keeping us informed and to the members of the COI who have done their best to keep the liquidators on the straight and narrow. A special mention for ng and all his work on the site and for anrigaut who has been the main source of information especially over the last couple of years (get well soon).
Like so many on this site, where we are familiar with the names but not the people, this group has helped drag me from emptiness of the realisation of the loss of a lot of hard-earned money to the position where we are today; we actually have a little interest that we never imagined we could expect.

Thanks to all, stay safe in these times of virus - stay home and keep washing your hands!!

Interest or compensation?

Well everyone,
I can’t believe it’s finally all done.
Just had my interest into my account today.
I am calling it compensation for the suffering we have endured.
I intend to give some to my 23 year old twin girls and spend the rest on heaven knows what!!
Who’d of thought we’d get it all back and now £9000 in interest!
I truly hope that as many of us as possible are still alive to receive this money and enjoy it.
I have a couple of bottles of Sancerre chilling in the fridge to toast this joyous occasion.
I will be thinking of you all and those that never made it this far.
Stay safe and look after yourselves and your families.
God bless us all

The interest has also arrived in my account, thanks for the "heads up" Cottesmore.

Once again I wish to express my heart felt thanks to everyone who has provided advice, guidance and support over this long period of time. Without your help and this website the nightmare would have been even worse. So hard to believe it is now all over, at least for those who have received the interest at this time.

I will continue to check this site until the very end and I do hope that everyone receives their money sooner rather than later.

Best wishes.

... thanks as always. All done as per your messages. Now we wait to see if those of us over 70 are able to get out and walk our cheques to the bank, in June it seems.

Thinking of you Anrigaut, and hope you are back home very soon.
