Claim against Kaupthing hf
We have been informed that the Winding Up Committee of Kaupthing hf has rejected our claim in its entirety. We are in the process of lodging our objection, which will be filed in advance of the creditors meeting on 29 January 2010. If our objection is not upheld, the matter will go to Court in Iceland for a decision. We have no further information at this stage, however, we will issue a further update when more details become available.

That's disappointing - but then if they have had so many applications, they are probably rejecting most of them just to clear out the ones that aren't going to be pursued.
Rejection of Our Claim
IT IS TIME THAT THE LIQUIDATORS, ALREADY HAVING MILKED US TO THE TUNE OF TENS OF MILLIONS OF POUNDS START WORKING, GET THEIR FINGERS OUT, AND START DOING WHAT THEY HAVE BEEN PAID FOR; I.E. WORKING TO ENSURE THE BEST POSSIBLE OUTCOME FOR CREDITORS OF KSFIOM. THIS IS MAKING MY BLOOD BOIL. ENOUGH IS ENOUGH. THERE IS A PARENTAL GUARANTEE IN PLACE. EVEN IN THE LETTER THEY SENT ME THEY ADMITTED THAT THERE IS A PARENTAL GUARANTEE IN PLACE AND THAT THEY WILL ONLY DEAL DIRECTLY WITH THE LIQUIDATORS, NOT INDIVIDUALS. SO GET WORKING AND ENSURE WE GET WHAT WE WERE PROMISED AND WHAT THE LIQUIDATORS HAVE BEEN PAID FOR. I TRUST SOMEONE FROM DST AND FROM PWC ARE GOING TO BE IN ICELAND FOR THE MEETING ON JAN 29TH. CAN THIS BE CONFIRMED? IF NOT, I WILL GO OVER THERE MYSELF AND SCREAM BLUE MURDER OVER THIS. WHATEVER THE CONSEQUENCES!

AND BY THE WAY, WHEN YOU SAY 'IT IS DISAPPOINTING' THAT IS ALMOST AN INSULT. THIS IS NOT 'DISAPPOINTING' IT IS DARNED RIGHT CRIMINAL. IT IS A SLAP ACROSS THE FACE. WAKE UP AND SMELL THE COFFEE! ENOUGH!

I myself am disappointed, but then I think the rejection is the first salvo - get a grip and take your caps lock key off.
