I have just seen Lord Turner, Head of the FSA, on the Andrew Marr programme babbling unbelievable tripe in defense of the indefensible. He speaks in support of what John Aspden says about risks of depositing in banks. All I can say is: "My Lord, in the name of the good Lord, GO!"

On the same programme Vince Cable (liberal MP) said that ALL deposits in ANY bank should be 100% secure.

There is absolutely NO CASE for the IOM Government to offer any compensation or Scheme of Arrangement. HM Government should be saying to its Crown Dependency: "we can not allow this gross injustice to be executed in the name of the Crown."

The DAG's lawyer should grab this golden opportunity to make a statement to the Court on 19 February to the effect that a SoA is compenstion by another name & compensation is NOT what depositors are willing to accept

Depositors have the legal right to have restored to them 100% of their deposits

No argument, no debate, no dispute -- do the right, just & honorable thing -- PAY UP !

I also saw Lord Turner on the Andrew Marr show. He seems to have caught the same desease as most people in authority these days of never being able to answer a question.

expatfrance1: I think the disease is actually one of never being able to tell the truth. Not being able to answer a question is merely a symptom.

Why don't we try and get Ken Clarke on our side? He gets right to the point and knows who is to blame.
