"People close to the talks said the IMF had not attached punitive conditions."

so these people get to renege on a guarantee and we poor depositors who did nothing wrong get no bail out.

I am sick of the lumps we are taking people.

I am getting really frustrated.

Punitive in this case could well refer to the type of really harsh economic controls that other countries that have had IMF loans in recent years have had to agree to (which in many cases have made things a lot worse before they started to get better).

I don't think that honouring a guarantee to a small Manx bank would be considered to be 'punitive' in dealings of this scale, so don't write it off yet.

today i have gone over the edge

it is not possible that the liquidator does not know exactly where our deposits are. we are being deceived into inaction before it is too late

now this - a bailout for our guarantor

meanwhile Gordon Brown does nothing to protect the IoM despite his duty to do so, in fact he does the opposite
