We seem to have a frustrating problem when clicking on the links in the right-hand margin, within, though not necessarily only within, the "recent comments" area.

When clicked, it simply takes you to the correct "post" but not the relevant reply or section within that post. For example, I've just clicked this link (precisely at 18:41 on 4-Nov)...

The link is entitled "Questions" and supposed to go to:
http://www.ksfiomdepositors.org/node/27#comment-14664

And it takes me straight to the second entry of this thread - not the correct section which is called "Questions".

Incidentally I just have a plain simple Firefox installation, so nothing specific there - bookmarks work fine elsewhere.

Appreciate the good work you're all doing. I was going to say Please include a link when you're referring to another post such as UPDATE --> see Divers latest statement posted below (6 Nov) in this thread : However this is not working as it should and seems to only get to the most recent post currently comment-15713

Looking onthe Drupal Forum I noticed this:-
The module was designed with our site forums in mind to give us vBulletin style pages for each reply to a forum thread. Not only does this build up the number of pages on your site, it also makes it easier for your site's users to bookmark and link to particular comments in a discussion

Looks to me like comment field is not indexed.

Links in website source code

The source code for post titles include a link. Clicking the link should lift the post title to the top of the browser window by virtue of a corresponding "target" link just above it in the source code, eg: id="comment-14828"

This is not working reliably in Firefox, and it's hard to see why, except perhaps the source code that precedes the "target" link on the same line (includes !-- end comment-forum.tpl.php --) should be on a separate line so that the "target" link sits on its own line in the source code.

If this solves the above, it should also solve the original problem.

Looking at this again, on this page, the only post title that - when clicked - takes the post title to the top of the browser window is the very top one in the grey bar, and this is the only post who's target link is on a separate line in the source code.

So my guess is that if the Drupal template can be edited accordingly - to put the target links that contain (eg) id="comment-14828" on their own line in the source code - links to posts will work correctly in Firefox, Opera, Mac/Safari etc.

Yes, this is happening to me too. Some links take me to the wrong place - usually in the right thread. Thought it was some problem at my end so I'm happy to hear I am not being entirely stupid.
Am using Firefox too

It's the same with me since the latest revamping of the site - was OK before. I use Mac/Safari.
