KSF 'a creditable story': iomtoday 18 March 2011

A number of excellent comments have already been made to this article and the extraordinary claims of current Treasury Minister Anne Craine that the government's handling of the KSF collapse was a ‘creditable story for the Isle of Man to relay’ and that the progress of the KSF liquidation ‘portrayed a picture that can give confidence’.
The article (and thus our comments) has been drawn to the attention of the Tynwald Select Committee, to whom Ms Craine gave her 'evidence' last week.
Please eveyone consider adding your comment. If you are not already registered, you have first to do that (which it seems might take some time and persistence), but once registered then it's easy. Comments are clearly not pre-moderated as they appear immediately. But I imagine they may subsequently get deleted if over-abusive (which doesn't do our cause much good anyway IMO). So please try to remain civil!

active moderation. My guess is that they want to watch our comments and as this is an exception to the default policy it interrupts the normal response. The page went offline after I posted.
Looked at Manx forum. It is a nice thread.. sensible comments and nice backwash from the majority (very small forum) against the 'whocoudanode'/fools' arguments and as with recent comments on other IoMtoday articles a steady pulse against the financial 'elite'. Commented.
King (BoE) is right, as is Turner, 'the' people just don't get it. They don't realise that we are really just the tip of the iceberg. They have all been ripped off by the financial sector. And The IoM is nothing but this sector. It is cheap to the core, it isn't run by the IoM govt it is run by the financial sector.
Ms Craine is just Bell's latest reincarnation. Neither of them can probably spell integrity, and neither of them believes it is of any use to their purpose whatsoever, all they see is a race to the bottom.
But the change in tone of IoM comments is better than nothing. Sheep farmers colonised by sharks.
