Hi Folks,

I see the October figures are out and JLs also state a dividend of 9.6p/£ bringing us up to 83.2p/E overall, so far. So brilliant to be at this stage with a hoped for further return to our JLs from E&Y (KSFUK) by next March/April. Which helps to auger well for a further 5p/£ to us by next June.

Will now do my sums based on the figures given and just see what it comes to and get back to you all.

But it would seem that with 4 loans repaid in full + 5 in part totalling £12.8m that the very large loan was not repaid in October. Not even sure if 2 of the £5-10m loans were repaid either. It might be that we got 4 of the £1-5m loans repaid. Hopefully the JLs will give out some data on the 10 largest loans to all of us or perhaps answer my list of questions that contained a number on the 10 large loans situation. But note all 4 loans repaid came from that due back in 2011 and that is excellent news.

Anyway that is all for another day, let's enjoy where we are with only 16.8% to come to reach the 100%. What I quote is for those who invested in GBP. For others in USD, EUROs Canadian, Australian, New Zealand curriencies etc it is not quite so good, but still returns to hopefully help improve your situations.

To all take care,

Gordon 45

Tony Shearer has a headline posting in the Telegraph-

http:/www.telegraph.co.uk/finance/newsbysector/banksandfinance/8964213/Heads-should-roll-at-Bank-Treasury-and-the-FSA.html

Is there anything more to be said?

We all know by now that we were the victims of a corrupt system ) and how many corrupt were within our ranks') The IoM stinks to heaven. They obviously refute the charge but they aren't actually convincing anybody at the present. They rely on the corruption going forward. And well it might. But then again this nught be a turning point, Turning points actually occur sometimes!

I just feel that, posting this, that the truth might finally out, soley because there is always a point when the lies and deceit, the fraud, fails. The debt bubble is punctured irrevocably and while we've been right royally screwed the perpetrators of this mugging are becoming more and more exposed.

Given the fact that the IoM is a more or less UK authorised offshore tax avoidance domain for the City the City's (whore) and hence our travesty was a cheap disgrace, the realitys becoming irrefutable- The IoM politicos, Judiciary ( I love the - I hate Deputy Deepsteer Corlett - I studied law... Corlett is a disgrace is my eyes ... and hopefully everybodyelses - how do you sleep at night Corlett? with the pound notes being such a lumpy mattrress... hijo de puta....)

Enough

You don't need to join a group to start a new thread (though I agree it's become more difficult to find the right place to do it).

Anyway, I felt this needed a place of its own. See here: http://chat.ksfiomdepositors.org/forum-topic/support-tony-shearer

If only you could be right - that "the truth might finally out". I'm not holding my breath, but I agree that things do sometimes turn ...

Glad to see you are using all the attributes you have that enabled you to get all the money together that disappeared down the Swaney. I too have invested in property which is giving me a good return in rent every month. It also gives me an address in the UK which I can use but have mail redirected to me wherever. I am buying a new car for my birthday, helping out relatives and generally using my money rather than have it enticing someone to run off with it.

Your comment comes later in this forum (on page 2, I believe) as do a couple of opinions with regard to the possible investment you mentioned. In a nutshell, they state that if something sounds too good to be true, it probably is. ie. avoid it. The last thing any of us want is to lose our hard earned wealth again, especially after having waited three years for its (admittedly 83%) return. If you are really captivated by the scheme, PLEASE seek professional impartial and objective advice

Well, another "dividend" has been paid out. I wonder just how many of us are left now. It's so frustrating that there is not a "final push" to mop up the remaining depositors and wrap up this period of our lives. Will we be really kept "hanging on" for years yet, and then told "That's it, folks" I don't know about you but the sooner I wash my hands of the IOM the better.

Steve, Since the DCS was implemented and with the possible exception of a few set off cases, the number of depositors owed by the bank has not decreased with increasing cumulative dividends. All 50k+ depositors are still owed 16.4% ,plus hopefully some interest, of our deposit.

Delighted to see anothet £7,500 in my bank this morning. Many many thanks to all those who have continued to fight (some far more than me). My personal total refunded (£50k compensation+two payouts) is now 82.4% of my capital+interest as at 8/10/08. Maybe I've been paid a tad short? But this morning I'm smiling and the extra £££'s will finance both a new road bike and a new mountain bike. Plus change to buy a bell!
WELL DONE AND THANK YOU TO ALL DAG FIGHTERS.

I appreciate that we were told that payment would be made two months from the 27th September but as the 27th Novemeber is fast approaching, it appears as if the DCS team are hanging onto our money until the last possible moment!

Can anyone tell me what happens to the interest that accrues on the bulk dividend payments before they are released to depositors bank accounts?

The credit advice received from my receiving bank clearly shows that £14 bank charges were deducted by the issuing (Isle of Man) bank.

Mike Fayle of the DCS has admitted this was an error on their part caused by someone ticking the wrong box (in some cases) and that it is being corrected. So it's not a case of a long-winded way of doing things - not intentionally at least!

Hopefully all concerned should receive the missing amount this week.

I am now informed that, for technical reasons, the bank is unable to correct this error at the push of a button. The delay is therefore rather longer than had been hoped as new transactions have to be created and authorised for each individual. This process is underway and it is hoped that all will be completed early next week.

Please don't shoot the messenger! While this is a minor irritation, it is just that. Let's face it, the amounts concerned (mostly £14 and in some cases £23) are, by any account, very small. There was a human error, for which an apology was made and which is being corrected. I suggest that it is actually causing the Scheme agents (not IOM Treasury by the way) rather more trouble than it is causing us and have no doubt they would have preferred it had not occurred.

"We are almost certain that it only affects a small number of people for whom manual transfers were done. It looks like a ‘x’ was put in the wrong box on the form. It is being corrected, although may not go through until next week. It will indeed apply to all those affected whether or not they are aware of it."

Hi tsunamivictim
Not sure who I am with, it's so long since I completed all the paperwork! The letter detailing the amount of the 6th Dividend is from M. Simpson (Joint Liquidator) and was posted on the 11th Nov and the money in my bank soon after that. I could search through the paperwork but that would just get my blood boiling. Sorry to be so vague but since 2004 I have been nursing my wife through cancer and chemotherapy. I have not really participated in the dialogue on the KSFIOM websites but have monitored the exchanges on almost a daily basis. I am very grateful to Gordon45, angiraut, ng and many others for their hard work. It would be easy to say that good health is far more important than money but the amount I lost would have made life more comfortable. Saying that, we have a roof over out heads and food on the table, I know there are others probably finding even this difficult to achieve.
Keep up the good work. Nil illegitimi carborundum.

Barrona,

I fully share your views regarding the DCS. I took up the matter you raised with Mike Fayle a year ago and pointed out that the Liquidators would tell the DCS of the sum to be recieved in advance of any payment made by the Liquidators. It's then a simple matter for the DCS to reconcile this sum with DCS payments through a simple Excel spreadsheet. There is no reason why the DCS should not make the vast majority of payments within a couple of days of receiving the sum from the Liquidators. Regarding the interest, Mike Fayle told me that "there is no provision within the DCS scheme regarding the treatment of interest." As I pointed out, I'd be very happy to have a few tens of millions sat in my account for a week or two whilst they get around to deciding to whom it should be paid. Clearly, there's no incentive for rapid payment by the DCS. The Liquidators also told us we would be able to switch directly to payment by the Liquidators once the DCS had been repaid. Clearly, this was an incorrect and misleading statement.

Perhaps this is a minor irritiation, given that the overall outcome is far better than most of envisaged three years ago. However, it's still very annoying when one wants to pay off very expensive loans ASAP.

Ian
