Hi folks,

I see thanks to Anrigaut that the Jan figures are out - not very exciting, but probably to be expected. It could be a hard year this year.

The 6 monthly report may contain more important data for us at this time, and it should be out sometime soon also.

Re my updates, I'm afraid I am currently trying to deal with some personal matters that must be attended to, and will probably not get to work on this for another few days yet. Nothing at all to do with the stuff in the 'recent comments' box.

So my apologies, will get to it asap and get back to you all,

I understand it's in UK pounds and the interest rate for this currency is quite low but what about the other currencies?
Aren't UK interest rates better than this in Offshore accounts?

Just seems like poor returns to me.

Is the Deal Rate the interest rate on the deposits at the various Bank? If so, why is it so low? Some Bank deposit on online call accounts are offering 6% in Australia. Many are offering 5.5% or more.

Seems like the return on deposits with the various Australian banks is very poor. Are the JLs getting the best return for us on cash deposits held?
