Exactly what gun to we have to hold to their heads and what teeth can we bite them with? If I thought it would work I would take a gun to Tynwald but all that will do will get me locked away from my family which would only compound the fact that the bulk of our savings have been stolen.

I am sure there are many that want to do something to help. Other than contacting politicians and media what else can we do? This posting is not about lying down and giving up - I am genuinely asking for comments re what else we can all do to try and resolve this.

A few days ago I wrote on this site that in reality we can flap about as much as we like and petition everybody on the planet but we are ALL in the hands of MS at PWC. We have no power or influence at all.

We are a toothless tiger really !

I was shot down as being negative and unhelpful etc .. etc ...

Having said that it is a great site for information, ideas and fellowship etc

I live in Spain and the I.O.M banks regularly advertise in English language newspapers here. Heaven forbid,
but if things don't go our way on Friday, we could also take out ads in the same newspapers warning people
of the dangers of banking in the I.O.M.

If they let this happen, this will send a message to people that it is okay to steal money from one another, because there is a good chance to get away with it. What happened to the world today? Did we go back to the dark ages?!

“He said a buyer needs to be found for KSF (IoM) and its frozen assets retrieved before the bank is wound up at a high court hearing on Friday.”

There must be considerable political pressure being places on all concerned to sort this mess out quickly. I’m worried that there will also be pressure to liquidate KSF on Friday, if it hasn’t been sold. The Manx authorities want this problem out of the news; it’s hardly good for business. Once PWC have liquidated KSF, the authorities can say, “job done”, and the IOM and the World can forget about this nasty little problem.

''and the IOM and the World can forget about this nasty little problem.''

I assume/presume they are aware that one or two of us here also may have a *** nasty little problem*** ?

Best wishes here to all fellow depositors on the outcome.

Yes, I'm sure the IOM leaders know about our plight. It seems they themselves, both as a government and personally, have/had money in KFS. What I'm trying to say is the IOM leaders must have a vested interest is making this mess go away. All the bad press must be dreadful for the IOM economy.

I would not be at all surprised if there is a statement on Friday along the lines of-

The Liquidator has looked into the business and decided that winding up is the best possible course for all parties. For the sake of all savers, the IOM DCS will now start paying out compensation quickly.

Or something like that.
Personally I do hope I'm very wrong.
