How to add 'Join' link to GEO Forum?

I'm having a lot of trouble figuring out how 'our' Geo forum works.

For a start, how do we get a 'Join' link added on the right-hand side of the list of forums?

Group "join" link

I assume you mean on the list of Groups - its already there, but not shown to you as you are already a member. Likewise its shown on the menu on the left side-bar if somebody comes to the Group and is not already a member.
