I need some "auto-reply" emails...

  • When someone replies to a "contact" message by email, the reply goes to noreply@(domain) .. although I could just automatically bin this messages, I let them through to my email because in many cases they are from people who simply don't understand how the thing works. Need an auto-reply to explain it.

  • For site contact - for "technical support" requests, an auto-rely covering a few basic points and giving a link to the FAQ, also "if after reading these you still need help, please email (address)".

  • For site contact - many ppl are sending in a sort of "my story" by email .. auto reply to explain that they need to post it, and how to do it.

Hi ng - Is this still outstanding? Let me know which areas still need auto response and I can draft something up for your review.

Yes, it's still outstanding. Actually, post(s) here would be fine - I can link the "contact" link to a page showing the relevant information.

OK, will get something together for the two situations above.

I think auto email would be more appropriate for someone who may be confused by the site, but am happy to do it as a post.

Hello, i have done as one stop shop, its only brief currently and wasn't sure what the technical support email was.. but thought maybe one email could cater for all instances... have pasted below for now, but do think it should be in the email that gets returned rather than a link to a post..

IMPORTANT INFORMATION - PLEASE READ

Thank you for emailing KSF (IoM) Depositors. Unfortunately this is an unmanned email account and as such you're email will not be read - this has occurred as you have hit reply to an email that was sent out automatically by the site, not by an individual. If your email was regarding technical support then please return to the site and click on the HELP! menu in the black bar at the far right hand corner, in here you will find answers to many of the frequently asked questions such as How to Register, How to Reply to a comment etc, alternatively click http://www.ksfiomdepositors.org/HelpFAQ.
If you are still experiencing issues following this then please send an email to the following address where your email will be read and someone will respond as soon as possible

2. Your Story
If you have sent an email regarding your story, please follow the below steps as we definitely want to capture everyones story that they have to tell.
a) Please login to the site here, or if you are not currently registered click here to register.
b) once you are logged on, in the top black menu on the site, on the left hand side you will see the text "Our Stories", please click on this
c) under the initial comment at the top of the page you will see in blue "Add new comment" click on this link
d) you will be directed to a new page, Add a subject for your story and then all of your story content in the comment box
e) you MUST fill in the CAPTCHA towards the bottom of the page and the text must match EXACTLY including capitals
f) Click the Preview button to see your story, if you are happy with it, click Save and it will appear on the site.

If you are still experiencing issues please email ......
