As noted in a previous post on another thread, the www.ksfiomdag.com site - which, in addition to providing for 'private' discussion between registered depositors/bondholders, has replaced the old depositors.org public site (no longer updated) as DAG's main public site – is run and funded separately from this (chat) site, and has been operating very much on a shoestring. The two sites are complementary and fulfil somewhat different needs (http://www.ksfiomdepositors.org/public-page/ksfiom-dag-web-sites)

Until now we have not sought specific donations for the ksfiomdag.com site. However, the site is now in need of a major upgrade, the cost of which will leave us with practically no reserve to cope with any unforeseen problems and to continue to pay the annual hosting fee of around £100 (paid for this year).

We estimate that between £500 and £1000 should enable us to keep the site running for around 3 more years, which will hopefully see out the liquidation and any immediate aftermath. We feel it would be unfortunate if we were obliged to close the site prematurely for lack of funds.

Update 16 June 2014:
Please note that the above link has been updated following the upgrade of the ksfiomdag.com site.

The link to PayPal or the bank transfer doesn't work. Thanks for all the hard work guys. I still check the website regularly and am thankful for all the updates. Happy to donate if you send a link.

Best.

Jenny

Hi Jenren,

It appears that the URL has changed as a result of the recent upgrade of the site.

The correct link is http://www.ksfiomdag.com/donation

I have now edited my original post to provide the new link and have asked ng to do likewise in the link provided in the top menu.

Thanks for alerting me to the problem! And thanks in advance for your donation!

The upgrade of DAG's main public site has now been completed. After a few minor glitches over the weekend, the new site now seems to be working well, but please let us know if you experience problems so that we can get them fixed.

If you have not yet visited the new site, please do so. The address is unchanged at www.ksfiomdag.com

This much-needed upgrade was made possible through the generous donations of a relatively small number of DAG members, to whom grateful thanks. However, we remain some way short of our target and would still welcome further donations to assure the ongoing maintenance and hosting costs for the next 3 years or so. If you value the site and have not already donated, please consider doing so now. Every little helps!

New site - new faces

Just been on the new site. Good to see the DAG is still going strong, and so heartwarming to see Mr Docherty has a new job. All say ahhhh.

One of the things that has always amazed me about this whole debacle is how the IOM weathered this totally unscathed. Right from day one in October 2008. And everyone involved comes up smelling of roses. What a wonderful world. Can I have the rest of my money back please? No, wait your turn. Oh, all right. I will be patient for just a few more years. Taking note, any new IOM savers? (savers, not speculators!) Rant over. Back in my box now. Good boy.

Not so sure they emerged unscathed. Look at how many banks have left the IOM since 2008, its no longer the offshore centre it was.

It is probably because we don't really hear much about the IOM in the UK. The UK press were not that interested (and neither was HMG for that matter) in our plight when it all kicked off. There were some really juicy stories to be had for any investigative journalist worth his or her salt (The Derbyshire angle for one). I felt though we were just looked upon as people who could afford to lose our savings at best or tax avoiders at worst, which we all know is very unfair. I also felt we were just an embarrassment to the IOM. Maybe the worldwide community look upon "offshore" with different coloured spectacles now. As far as I am concerned, I will never go near one ever again.
