EPS Claim Forms Clarification

According to the PWC 19-12-08 Update:

"...we send a claim form to all customers on their behalf so that depositors can arrange for them to be completed and returned...."

I've received my statement today plus a "Client Data & Payment Details Update".

Whilst the latter asks for similar information to the IOM Claim Form, there is no legal jargon at the end of it.

1 - Is the PWC form a "claim" form, or did they forget to send it?

2 - Do I have to also send the IOM claim form?

These 2 forms are completely for different purposes.

  1. PWC forms need to be filled in and returned to PWC, so that they can cross reference what they have with what they receive from depositors - its in effect an internal KSFIOM audit of data by PWC.

  2. The IOM EPS claims forms are for those who wish to make a claim of the £1000, being offered by IOM Government. This is completely seperate and is funded by IOM Gov - although they will calim it back from anything that comes your way from the solution of the bank (liquidation, restucturing, nationalisation or whatever). IOM need your basic details so that they can verify with KSFIOM/PWC you are who you say you are and that you have an account with them.

I guessed it was an error.

It will all be working correctly after they're restructured/nationalised - yeah, right!
