For those of you that have EDGE accounts, my DCS page now reads approved and payment is being prepared. This could mean that others with EDGE accounts will have the same good fortune. Lets hope so.

Update - our joint US Dollar Edge account was approved for DCS repayment on 1st October '09 and was received (in Sterling) into our UK account yesterday 9th October '09.

We would like to thank the DAG for providing the support of this website during a very protracted and very difficult time. The website was a lifeline for us to hear of others stories and difficulties. We wish all savers the very best in their efforts for 100% return of their money. We will continue to support your efforts in every possible way we can.

Life will never be the same - that's for sure. We will never trust banks again nor the Politicians who we all know because of what happened to us and the later expenses scandal are corrupt and outside the judicial system which we have to abide by as law abiding UK residents.

Well done Calpespain

Hopefully you'll get some money soon. My DCS page is still exactly as it was when I registered all those months ago.

I cannot believe the way these bastards treat us. How difficult would it be to just post a message each week updating depositors as to the progress being made? Instead, knowing that many of us are suffering genuine hardship waiting for this money, they completely ignore us and then have the audacity to complain that we make their life difficult by phoning and emailing!

I'm hoping to get some publicity for our cause next week. Am certainly trying my best. I'm focusing purely on the mismanagement of the DCS.

Could anybody help me?
I am being asked to supply my EDGE nominated bank account details.
What exactly is an EDGE nominated bank account?
I am thinking that it is perhaps a no-Kaupthing account that I nominated when I opened the EDGE account - an account perhaps where interest might be paid?
Any help or advice would be gratefully received

The Edge nominated bank account is specifically the account which you would have been asked to provide details of when you opened your Edge account. .It would have been used when you wanted to withdraw funds from your Edge account. You are being asked for those details by the DCS as a way of verifying your identity since Edge accounts could be opened without you having to provide a specimen signature. You need to give the DCS details of that particular account even if you choose to receive your "compensation" payment by cheque or to a different bank account.

I had an Edge account but my nominated account was my KSFIOM current account, for which the bank had a specimen of my signature.... Hope this helps.

The nominated account is the account you wish to receive your compenstaion or liquidation payments, and in the one you funded your Edge account from with an ititial first transfer to open up you KSFIOM Edge account. You can always nominate and open another new account if you don't want the money to return to that same bank.

In either case you will need the name of the bank and their sort code (routing number if USA), you account number and the bank address . If you are unsure just cal that bank or vist their website and make sure you have all the correct numbers and info to avoid further delays of your payments from KSFIOM (Liquidaters or DCS whichever you are accepting) into your account.
