I notice that anyone with an Edge account has not received any money as they are claiming extra problems with verifying. I got my claim in on time and have not rececived a penny. Has anyone received anything yet and have any Edge account holders had anything?

I think the Isle of Mann is a shambles and I hope this destroys their whole illicit unregulated and dishonest banking system.

Hi All,

Does this nightmare have an end????

We, like all unpaid edge account holders check the DCS page, these pages and our bank every day, many times. We noticed a change on the DCS page today htough - still not verified (received 22 Jun, bank details entered mid August) there is a new 'payee details' listed on the left hand side menu, above validation. We have entered all our bank details AGAIN together with a few extras required. They also ask (AGAIN) how we want ot be paid - there wasn't a NOW option though!!!!

Maybe this update has been there a few days and we missed it? But we didn't have notification that it was there so we assume no one else has either - might be worth a look.

All the best,
Yogi

The claims for our joint account were received by the DCS on 15 June '09.

We still await payment or any firm information when we are likely to be paid having been in contact with Mike Fayle and the Bank (Liquidators).

The PayeeBank link appeared on our claim pages during the week and have been completed by us but the validation page states that our Edge account has not yet been fully validated (the Liquidator is making further checks).

The obvious frustration we feel at not being repaid our savings is compounded by the lack of definite information and the couldn't care less attitude of those involved with this shameful matter. There is no-one worthwhile to make complaint to meanwhile this saga just rumbles on week after week. All we are reminded to be is 'patient' while being advised sarcastically of how many e-mail enquiries we have sent. These people should have careers in politics - they will not answer any direct questions posed to them!

Lifetime UK residents - paid UK taxes all our lives and our savings were earned by honest means (verifiable).

i am at my wits end having been told by pwc that i would be one of the folk getting a catch up payment and then being told that they are not prepared to tell me when! many people received monies on the 4th of september but despite lots of calls and emails and letters i didnt make the first dividend , as i had mistakenly applied for the dcs too. after having my dcs claim recinded by peter halpin, i assumed that it would be only a matter of time before the liquidation kicked in. at the beginning of last week a woman at pwc told me that i would be paid next week (by today), but no payment, and now they say they are not prepared to tell me when.
what a bloody bunch of sick bs who do they think they are work for the interests of us depositors my ....

Edge account - nothing received yet

We also had an Edge account. We received £10k each EPS but nothing since. We have filled in all forms and watched the dcs website (and of course this website) for more information. We have emailed and phoned as well. We have an email saying our claim was validated on 28th August, but the dcs website now tells us that that our claim was approved on 9th September - what's the difference I wonder?
Anyway in answer to your question: We were Edge - and NO dcs £ yet.

I can tell you that I have been informed that there is a validation problem with the Edge accounts, as I have indicated above. I believe that this is because PWC (the liquidators) have only recently found that they did not have ready access to adequate data to validate these accounts. I suspect that the reason why Edge account holders are being given evasive responses or no responses by the DCS administrators is because the latter are unwilling to blame the liquidators for the delay.

I can assure you that all this has not escaped the attention of the DST. We have a strategy in place and a little more patience is requested. I am not suggesting that criticism should in any way be stifled, but despair is not yet justified because there is no doubt that payments are being progressed and no-one is denying that all valid claimants ought to be paid in full shortly. If anyone is genuinely desperate for cash because they were relying on having been paid out before now (I am desperate myself, but that is a quite different matter) please let me or someone on DST know and I will try to focus on those cases in the short term.

As mentioned previously our claims were received on 15th June '09. We had not previously claimed an emergency payment deciding to wait and see what was around the corner and being unsure of what effect such a claim would make on any final outcome concerning our savings. There was a lack of general information as there were may different accounts and situations e.g. above or below £50K - foreign currency etc.

We thought we would wait and see the outcome and when the SOA was voted out (not in our interests we believe as under £50K depositors in a foreign currency) we applied for reimbursement under the DCS.

Meanwhile the be patient theme continues and is very annoying (to say the least) when we see others who applied after us being compensated for much greater amounts than our deposit. We are not wealthy people and the savings form a big part of our lives.

The Liquidator and DCS staff need to get a grip. Don't tell us that the verification problem was a surprise. Don't believe it for a second! What about those who applied for the EPS previously and were paid? What validation process did they have to go through? Time for action and less advice on being patient. We have been patient long enough. Return our hard earned savings - NOW!!!

DCS-delayed claimants' hardship fund

I thought it might be a nice idea if some of those depositors who have received substantial payouts by DCS and liquidators in recent weeks were to contribute something towards a hardship fund for those DCS claimants who are still waiting. Doubtless we could do a more effecive job at paying out rapidly than the Isle of Man. Would anyone be interested?

For those who favour immediate action over the DCS, there exists a "DST & support" skype chat conversation for the purpose of inviting on depositors who have views that they want to discuss with members of the DST (who also participate in that chat as well as their own). I think this may shortly evolve into something a bit better, so please watch this space if you are interested.

Forms received by DCS on June 16 for Edge account. No validation yet!! No communication from DCS, no response to calls! If I had hair, I'd pull it out!
