On April 9th., on the streets of IOM, Louise and I look forward to standing shoulder to shoulder with all of you to demonstrate to the IOM government, and to anyone else who will listen, THAT ENOUGH REALLY IS ENOUGH. I for one am so sorry you have had to endure all this anxiety, this indignity, for so long. It is heart-breaking that you, particularly you older folk, having worked all your lives, now suddenly find yourselves stripped of your well-earned security and peace of mind. In the world we live in, peace of mind is everything though clearly we still have to fight for it, even till the end. Both the UK Government and the IOM government must be held accountable for what they have done to us. It is their careless, frivolous actions and their subsequent shameless hiding and covering-up that has brought us all almost to the point of breaking. But we will NOT break. I do not know what this demo will achieve, it is simply a case of anything is better than nothing. But we have to make these authorities see that we will not be made fools of any more. Who knows, perhaps the next demo, and there may well be one, WILL be massive. Perhaps everyone who has a stake in this will stand up and be counted, whatever it takes, and wherever we are in the world. Best Wishes to All.

I, & perhaps many others could fund a trip to London from "abroad", if there is a good reason on a particular date in the future, as is the 9th April now. Then, I am sure, you can count on far greater numbers. If you want to get the world's attention on the 9th you must be prepared to do something naughty. If not, you won't get many column inches. Disruption inside the court perhaps, mass stamping of feet etc so that the Schemester can't be heard. If you get arrested I promise to pay you a visit. Go for it somehow or other, or your trip will be wasted & we will get nothing out of it. We will all be watching, & admire your efforts.

I for one would be willing to come to LONDON for a NEW KSFIOM Demonstration and this is where I think the ACTION should be...

Greater Access and larger Numbers Of Supporters easier to get to, better Media Coverage... I am sure there will be a need in the Near future for this... we need to make some NOISE so who can Organise this one?

I will Support

Yes we do want the World's Attention, we are NOT going away are we??????????????????????????????

The IoM demonstration on the 9th (this Thursday) is starting to promise a good turn-out with high numbers and big banners and voices. Being abroad with VERY limited funds, I must apologise to every single person going for not going myself. I will however try to do everything I possibly can with a keyboard to make your voices heard.

I have however started the ball rolling for a London demonstration as I know the organisation for such things takes time and, while I live in hope that we wont need it, plans should be started now.

I have read somewhere on the site about a march/demonstration near the end of May and have therfore started the begging process to try and raise the funds I would need to attend. I've also written to the Metropolitan Police asking for advice about what we need to do, in conjunction with the Police, to ensure our relations with the police remain good.

Not being the greatest event organiser in the world I also doubt I'd be able to organise such an event, so if (maybe the excellent organisers of the Douglas demo) anyone wants to 'take over' then I will happily give way. Also if this already has a rolling ball and is currently being organised then my apologies for sticking an oar in.

My thought is for Saturday, the 30th May. We dont want to alienate ourselves with Londoners and a weekday may be more difficult for some to get time off work to attend etc. Hence a Saturday. I thought the end of May as this will give us time to plan and also time for HMG to take actions that negate the need for a demo (I remain hopeful that the Douglas demonstration will have the desired results).

Is there an appetite within our group for a London demonstration? Am i treading on any toes by starting to discuss/organise this? Is there anyone who thinks they would make a better go and organising it?
