DIRECT ACTION is needed. A determined group is needed, now, more than ever, to break this pathetic cycle of 'it wasn't me mate.' The so-called 'governors' of the Isle of Man AND the so-called 'regulatory bodies' must be held accountable for what their ineptitude, carelessness, incompetence and darned right idiocy has reaped upon us. We have been screwed by these cretins and they are in hiding, like the cowards they are. They could have done so much more long ago and they chose not to. We have the right to bring down the whole IOM banking system for what they have done and we could achieve this with determination. These people on the IOM are not fit for purpose. I don't give a damn if these words alarm delicate souls. All I know is that these people on the IOM have ruined many a delicate soul's lives already. I have no respect for the IOM and their officials and believe that they must be confronted directly. So, a hard core of about 50 is needed to make an impact. It can be done.

Hi to all,

I would be really grateful if I could get an explanation of what direct action is proposed. Is this purely to be directed at the directors of KSFIOM, the IOM FSC, IOM government and the British and Icelandic faults to be left to later? Is this to take the form of a rally, court action, media publicity? I'm all for highlighting our lack of justice but am guarded about lending myself to anything illegal or apt to undo the hard work done by many members on our behalf. I am sure that frustration is creeping into our psyches but we need united action. Fragmentary action will only delight the people we hold responsible for our situation. I'm sure that we all want justice so what is the proposal?

Perhaps a bit late now but one of the hearings of this august body on the IOM would have provided a focus: i.e. persumably it is charged with reaching fair and proper conclusions (such as - self-evidently, Mr Aspden decided to allow lots of innocent people to be sucked into a bank group which the FSC had already concluded was failing, in the hope that this would allow a ponzi-escape route, when he should have ordered Dougherty to seek to recover KSFIOM's cash from the group and the pulled the plug at that point, as well as allowing the thing to be set up in the first place with a non-existent parental guarantee)

Good idea about taking Direct Action but can you expand on what this would consist of.

I agree wholeheartedly with Peter and Louise. Direct action is what is required against this corrupt insignificant outpost in the Irish Sea.
I couldn't give a damn against the population of the IoM, I'm more concerned about the depositors who continue to suffer unnecessarily.
Count me in!

I am fully in support of Peter and Louise, so count me in.

I am amazed that my conscience has held me back so long from catching a ferry over to the IOM with a car boot full of molotov cocktails.

Despite my christian upbringing I have been plagued with thoughts of how I could possibly wreak so much grief on the families of those who have caused so much grief and distress to so many honest, hardworking decent (gullible) people. Throwing bricks though windows and threatening wives and children have also haunted me in my darkest hours.

I have already written in one e-mail that the word "compensation" has been completely misused in the context of recovering monies from KSF.

I live in Germany and here "compensation" is something above and beyond full reimbursement of funds.

Compensation is an additional amount which compensates for the distress or pain which has been suffered.
The expression "Schmerzensgeld" can be translated as "pain money".
I believe that all depositors should be compensated not just reimbursed.

Whilst I am trying to straighten out my life as far as possible and scrape together the funds for my childrens' further education I am still interested in supporting all of those depositors who still have a long way to go in recovering their hard earned savings.

As I approach the age of 65 in a few weeks, I am busy negotiating a new job which should keep me and my fanily going for the next two years.

No doubt Brown and Darling have no such worries for the future.

Regards to all, and full support to Peter and Louise.

Mike Hill

We will see LABOUR fade off into the distance and leave the Mess they have caused behind them including the KSF Saga...

We will be left standing still asking the Question What can be done? within the LAW to make a Point about this SCAM.

We have been Ripped Off Big Time!

Yes we Need Pain Money and to be compensated by the FSAf or the Damage that we ALL have endured..

There are a FEW of Us but divided we fall lets stick together..

I am STILL in for any ACTION...

Where are the other 9 members of the so called early "Direct action" group?

These is our life savings those isolated "B"s have stolen.

Good on you, Peter and Louise.

I HAVE BEEN SLAVING AWAY SINCE OCT 2008 SENDING 100 - 200 EMAILS TO THE IOMG, Burrough Councillors, Treasury, Leisure Businesses, Accountancy firms, Banks and anyone else I can think of every week. Mr Spellman asked me not to send him anymore emails as he is not now responsible, (if he ever was) he thinks we will get 94% back but he did not say when, or which planet he was living on now. Join Peter and Louise, we can wear the B's down. I am still awaiting the financial figures for bank deposits and financial investment for the last quarter of 2009. They have been promised by the end of Feb. see. http://www.gov.im/fsc/stats.aspx

Yes no more pass the buck and hiding these "evil, unfit for purpose bastards" need to be ruined the way they ruined us.

Also enough of banking bonuses reaching even higher record highs - why can't that hideous Darling cream off just a little off the top of those Mega billion banking bonuses and return all money (with interest) now to we poor KSFIOM Depositors, Landesbanki Guernsey, 98 local councils charities etc with profuse apologies and compensation for treating us so badly for so long. It would be so simple and even the bankers would not suffer much of a drop in amount received- is there no logic in this dysfunctional UK anymore. Come on play fair and humane again just for once you blithering idiots!

As for regulatory bodies this is an interesting article in the telegraph to day

Can the DST ask a direct questions to Brown, Bell, the FSC and all the Bank Managers of KSFIOM: Since the Regulatory Bodies on the IOM allowed a worthless document (Parental Guarantee) to trick innocent depositors into leaving their life-savings in their hands, and since the Bank Officials at KSFIOM compounded the deceit with their letters of confirmation that our savings were 100% secure, and since the Brown is the maximum authority on the Island, then, what representations and pressure is the Governor of the IOM bringing to bear on Iceland, on the Treasury of Britain AND, on the Treasury of the IOM for the immediate return of our money? If the answer is NOTHING then there is no point in keeping our gloves on and we must go over their and create hell.

Good, I reckon there are already 5 or 6 who are clearly committed to taking this to the next level. We now need another 40 odd to make an impact and to hit these b....... where it hurts but, more importantly, to get results. Can the DST commit themselves to joining us? The DST have very clever, articulate and informed people in their ranks; their letters have already proved this. We are going to need their support and active involvement. We will be speaking to the world media when we are in front of the IOM goverment offices on the IOM and we must show, unambiguously, how the IOM authorities, and the FSC, have allowed innocent savers to be robbed of their savings. We can do this, together. The IOM must be shamed. We have absolutely nothing to lose. Personally, I believe they will never be able to recompense any of us for all the suffering and anxiety they have put us through. Now is the time to take the fight to their doorstep. Let them suffer. We have absolutely nothing to lose. And, apart from anything else, dignity demands we do this. Is the DST with us?
