I am slightly confused.

I have just recieved a letter from Kaupthing saying that my proof of debt form has not been recieved and I am to return the form they sent me before August 12 to be included in the first dividend. (I have not sent one of these in due to applying for the DCS before the voting for the comittee was done)

I have already applied under the DCS and thought that i was not required to send in this form if claiming under the DCS, can someone please clear this up for me.

Do i need to send in the "Proof of Debt" form if applying under the DCS?

Regards and thanks,

mrawson.

mrawson:

Your understanding is quite correct: if you have applied for DCS you should definitely NOT send in a proof of debt to the Liquidator.

Presumably they are sending out these letters because they have not yet received a claim on your behalf from the DCS. But that's not your problem - the DCS should pay out anyway (they may have to wait longer to recover their money if they don't submit before 12 August - which I imagine they will be trying to do!).

Hope that helps.

Thankyou for the quick
