Hi,

How can I confirm that the DCS have recieved my claim letter - I contacted KSF to check that it had been recieved but they informed me that as i had applied through DCS they would not have this info - As i have recently been made redundant it is imperative that I get this money to keep me going - My (limited) understanding is that the liquidation process could take years?? In hinsight i should have took the money and cut my losses!

Can you help?

Many thanks

If you log in to your account with the DCS and click on "claimant summary", you should see a list of all the forms you completed. The last one is the "Assignment & form of notice". As I understand it, if the box alongside this is completed with "Recd by DCS" followed by a date, this confirms your claim has been received. If blank, then something has gone wrong and you should email the DCS.

Once received, your claim has to be validated by the DCS checking with KSF. This takes much longer. I don't know whether any claims are as yet shown as validated (mine isn't, but I applied late - after the creditors' meeting).

The DCS payment (up to £50,000) is expected to be paid on 1 September for those who applied before 4 July; maybe later for later applicants (but - they say - without much delay: we shall see!).

Hope this helps. Would be interesting to know whether anyone's claim is shown as validated?

I also would be interested to know if anyone has had their claim validated yet.

I claimed online for myself and my wife on 11th June and the “assignment and form of notice” is confirmed as received by DCS on 15th June.

I keep checking the validation section hopefully, as I would like to prevent them from sending a sterling cheque. It was announced that bank transfer details would be accepted once the signature check had been done by KSF.

A week ago logged in and saw an additional line in the claimant summary - "bank transfer details" or words to that effect. It needed another password to access (DCS log on did not work) Had dissapeared the next day together with the validation section . Email to/from DCS (with very quick response) that site was being upgraded. 'The bank details link hasn't re-appeared yet but suggests they are planning to allow electronic transfer - probably once your validation has been okd. Have not had my validation confirmed yet although I know from the bank that they have returned my signature check results to DCS. I expect they are somwhat overwhelmed. DCS did indicate that I would be emailed when there was something to view on the validation page.

Top left under the logout box: "Show Claimant Summary".

You have to be logged in to your DCS account first.

Sorry but Logout is top right

Obviously you have first to be logged in to YOUR account on the DCS site (click first on "IOM official DCS site" at top right of the chat site).

Of course it can only work if you have completed a claim (online) and thus possess an account with the DCS!
I assume this is your case, in view of your question. But maybe not, as I note you say you sent a letter (which does not constitute a claim). In which case, you should go to the DCS site (as above), request to register a claim (top left) and follow the instructions to make your claim.
