I have made further enquiries and am informed (by the Liquidator) that the hearing did indeed go ahead and that the Deemster 'reserved his judgment', which may take a few weeks (there's no deadline).
There will be an update on the bank website 'shortly' (I presume along with the usual quarterly update due soon) and an update when the judgment is received.
Meanwhile, we get 0.02% from lending money to banks who get >19% for lending it on credit cards to pay fines to the regulators, over-inflated salaries to those who rig LIBOR rates etc - and half of nothing to their shareholders.... In what way has their culture changed since Kaupthing, Landsbanki etc? I'm astonished the CEO of Barclays wasn't fired on the spot this morning - another cosy deal...
Just on to say thanks for the update. I have been looking like lots of us but could find no info. Many thanks, and like you say the quarterly update is due shortly.
To the best of my knowledge, there is as yet no news.
Certainly there is as of this moment no judgment posted on the Manx Court site. I guess Simspon may well get a copy of the judgment before it is posted on the Court site but - as I'm sure you know - there is no news on the bank site yet either.
I do believe the hearing must have taken place - it was definitely included in the Court listings for 23 March, with 6 hours allowed for the case. But it was not expected that a judgment would be handed down on the day.
I am keeping a watchful eye and will post any news I get.
Judgment handed down
The Deemster's judgment following the hearing of 23 March has now been handed down and was posted on the bank website earlier today.

Still checking in from time to time, and being kept going by your own and Gordon's timely and informative updates!
Thanks so much!
Thank you for the update.
Thank you for the update. I'd incorrectly assumed judgement would have been announced on the day, so the delay is now understandable.
