Boring speakers....we need stage performers
I read on the site, about the dismal "performance" of the speakers at each Hearing who support our cause including our lawyers. It is often extremely important that the power and energy of the speaker grasp the heart and mind of the listener. Yes, we have the moral ground. Yes, we have been cheated and abused...but those are words. Only words. What makes a person listen and become involved, is often the way the words and message are delivered.
It is not always the message that wins the cause...often it is the Messenger.
Surely we have enough energy, anger and passion between us to move a mountain, yet when our spoken voice is heard, the performance is dismal.
Have you ever listened to great Orators in Court. We hang on to their every word. We believe them. It wins cases. We need to win our case.
Its time we took a leaf out of their book....everyone is well meaning but thats not enough. We need to get our message across with strength of purpose and sound like we mean it.
Stammering, gentle, kind interviews do not serve our cause. They reflect well on us as normal people caught up in a devastating mess, not used to being in front of cameras, but they will not convince anyone to help. Weakness does not attract support.
Our radio and TV interviews must be strong....not gentle and hoping. We are not gentle. We are stressed, angry people...that needs to come through when we speak. Each interview wasted is another nail in our coffin.
I know there are those of you who will disagree and say that every interview is good publicity. True...but an interview that is forgotten 10 minutes later is not a success. An interview with a message that people hear and take note of is worth having. If not, its a wasted opportunity.
We must show strength, not only in our numbers or in writing...but as convincing "stage performers"
Do we have any good public speakers out there that can front for us.?????

boring speakers
As an example of inspiring orators...listen to Winston Churchill...he could have sold snow to eskimos!
