Hello all,
having finally had confirmation of dividend payment being credited to bond (16th sept) ,
Prudential have informed me that they are foregoing charges on the bonds in KSF until clients have received at least 50% funds back via liquidation. They will also make no charges on withdrawals to this point. This could maybe be used by other bond holders in negotiations with their own life companies. Is this the start of some positive action on our behalf at last? All we need now is the ombudsman to rule against an IFA and maybe this nightmare will be over.

As you say, they seem to be doing something decent at last. I finally received my dividend yesterday. Did they give you any advice on the tax situation?

As for the Ombudsman, I had a letter last week to say that they are nearly ready (?) and I will have an adjudicator assigned by the end of October - a full year after my initial complaint to the IFA!

best to encash full units (my bond is split into 100 units of a certain value each) nearest to amount to withdraw - will only pay tax on the interest attached to these units - so only pay tax on 24.8% of the interest credited to oct 8th 2008 ( and this interest has been capped at 5%)., not the capital- hope this makes sense.
