bond depositors

I am very concerned that as a depositor through Canada life bond I.O.M. will every person or just the one deposit Canada life made, be eligable to receive whatever compensation be made available.
Ie.....if a person made a deposit of £100,000 via a Canada life bond,and they made a huge deposit of probably Millions, will the liquidators treat Canadas deposit as one investor, thereby only receiving a fraction of compensation of that of a private investor ?
My financial advisor had "no idea" that i would not receive compensation because of it being invested through a bond, and im quite sure other "advisers" were also unaware of this situation !
I am now taking them to task through the Ombudsman service.

Does anyone know what credit rating Kaupthing I.O.M. had in the months before its collapse?
