Are you sick of being tormented by self-interested, greedy, infantile, high-value depositors who think that your opinions shouldn't count because you haven't lost as much as them? Are you tired of reading statements like: "I have more money down the back of my sofa than you have in the bank" or "you could have earned more than your deposit by delivering newspapers for the past several months" or "you are a bus-ticket depositor"? If so, you are invited to join the private groups: DAG Watchdog and/or its offspring Low-value DAG.

Are these the people who have lost it all in a investment in a crooked off-shore bank?

Losing more than you doesn't make them smarter.

Quiet the opposite.

Elgee, if you are referring by he comment of "bus-ticket depositor" to the setting up of a new group requested in this post http://chat.ksfiomdepositors.org/forum-topic/dag-watchdog-group#comment-...,

Then you are quite wrong, it is a serious request and is aimed at those depositors where the bank opened accounts without full MLR identification, generally this would have been in the last few months of the bank operation but not limited too.

Fair enough, although your suggestion was introduced in another context.

No it wasn't - that's just paranoia

Although I have edited that post a couple of hrs ago & as a direct response to the comment in your forum topic heading, the only edit was an addition clearly identified to ensure no-one except the most paranoid could interpret the request to ng as being an intended jibe at low value deposits.

The request was labelled in a new paragraph as a BTW to ng in response to ng's earlier question to Cpt M re - the setting up of a new group. Are you now suggesting that all replies within a forum topic are all single entries and can not address multiple issue's or postings from other members.

-------edited 19:43 to ensure defined space between two topics -------------------------

The group if set up, will be open to <50K & >50K the only criteria will be identification required by the bank where it can proven this would not suffice in A.N other bank.

Just as long as you remember to:-
a) Make sure you guys who are guaranteed 100% remember to donate anything above the rate of dividend that the rest of us recieve into a fund to make sure we all get fair treatment.
b) Let every member who wishes to join you group know who you are.

Have you noticed that it is only you determined to stir the kak, because the rest of the <50K'ers know that the rest of us won't stab them in the back and ask them to compromise their rights to full compensation, whereas you actively try and stab us >50K'ers in the back. Those of us who "know" you can but speculate why, but do let your new friends have the choice of also making an informed decision as to who the snuggle up to.

Why should a 100% protected

Why should a 100% protected depositor give a damn about someone who isn't?

You chose to invest over and about the the protection scheme and that is entirely your fault. It wasn't a accident, it was a deliberate decision to ignore the limits for maximum gain.

Why didn't you spilt the risk and protection around multiple banks??

Why should smaller depositors suffer in any shape or form for your mistake?

Ever tried managing you own pension fund?

Dawes,

Many people are responsible for organising and managing their own pension funds. For that, you need a big enough lump sum to be able to live off the interest when you retire.

The DCS limit was something like £15,000........how many accounts would you need to set up and organise, in order to have enough to live off the interest of them? Even with the "protected" limit up to £50,000, it just isn't practical to have that many accounts, especially if you're resident overseas.

That's one of the many reasons this whole mess is so sickening: many of the people who have lost so much are retired and not in a position to start again.

Please, please can we ALL stop all this bickering. It doesn't matter how much anyone has lost here, we all want all of it back, and fighting amongst ourselves like this is an incredible waste of our energy.

Dawes, 1) for one I don't

Dawes,

1) for one I don't ask, nor to my knowledge does anyone else ask for smaller depositors to suffer for the larger depositors.

2) try opening several bank accounts and managing them all remotely,

forget the managing just try opening accounts without a UK address --

Is there a reason why Elgee should let people know who he is?
Diver and Expat have shown their faces and I think anyone who purports to be a group leader, committee member etc should make their identity known.

Don't get confused. He is not a leader of anything.(although he claims he is, in part!)
I'm sure you wouldn't want to see his face either.
Your call though, join his little group and find out how much he cares for us ALL.

Are you an "ant" or an "elephant"?

"...We may face the problem of how to decide between ants and elephants. If there are many ants (i.e those with less than 10K at stake) then they can outvote the fewer elephants with more than 50K at stake, and swing the action towards giving total compensation quickly to the ants. But maybe there are whole herds of elephants - we just don't know. One assumption could be that the elephants are the high net worth individuals who can in any case pay more for the legal fees and to sustain the fight with their larger assets..."
