Following received from BBC X-Ray today. ANYBODY WITH WELSH CONNECTIONS / DAG TEAM PLEASE GET IN CONTACT. In the meantiime I have reverted asking her to, in parallel, go ahead and through her contacts recommend Panorama / like coverage.

Hi,
I've had several discussions via e-mail with xxx today and am aware of his personal circumstances. His Welsh connection is not strong enough for us - it needs to be someone living in Wales or having been born themselves in Wales - though they might not be there now.
So anyone with a strong Welsh connection would be helpful, although I'm happy to suggest something on this for a longer BBC format eg. Panorama. For that to work, the strongest stories will be the clincher eg. those who have lost the most, really have seen their lives drop off a cliff and are happy to be fully cooperative with a tv crew about these issues, which would in any normal circumstance be private eg. finances. xxx is happy (probably not best choice of words!) to be involved.
So anyone you can send my way, I'd be grateful and we can open up lines of communication,
Best wishes,
Fiona.
PS. Please bear in mind that while I have access to the BBC and its development strategy it's very hard to get commissions through - success rate is about one in 60. But one must not give up!!!

Icdbrazil, I've just come across this post. It so happens that I am Welsh : born and educated in Cardiff. One of my sisters still lives with her family in the Cardiff area. As my username implies I now live in Paris having married a Frenchman, but I go back often. Can I be of help? Although I have lost a substantial amount and am incensed at the injustice of our situation, I cannot be said to be suffering hardship. Why do you want someone specifically who is Welsh? Is it for BBC Wales?

Hi,

Please contact Fiona at BBC. Received following email from her. She seems very interested so should be well worthwhile. Good luck!

xxxxxxxxx has been in touch with me and, of course, I'm very interested in speaking with her due to her Welsh background. Unfortunately the mobile number she gave me does not work and her e-mail address is attracting a lot of spam so it's difficult to get information to her as the BBC just spits it out. Would you try on my behalf? I don't want her to think I'm not interested. If you could pass on my mobile I'd be grateful - 07789 270030 - probably would need the international code 0044. An alternative e-mail is fionastuff(?)googlemail [dot] com.
Best wishes,
Fiona.

Yes, it is bbc Wales, hence they are seeking a Welsh connection. Not withstanding the fact that you may not be in hardship, you have been robbed. Suggest give her a call on the contact number and stress the utter injustice that you have been caught up in. Good luck & thanks.
