How many of you have a facebook page ?...I have 400 friends in mine ,I have sent them all an e-mail with details of various press contacts ,MP'S , I have asked them, and there friends , and there friends, and there friends,,(see where i'm coming from),sorry had a few beers to numb the pain... To highlight our cause....In the space of a few hours we could have possibly hundreds of thousands e-mails sent to the press/I.O.M govt/Uk treasury/Iceland ,,so on so forth,,that hopefully would make them sit up and think.....What the F**K is happening here !!....What do you Think ?

I sense a CONSPIRACY .After listening to the Manx Radio "Perspective " programe and comments made on there today and generally reading between the lines it confirms what many have thought . We are probably the "colateral damage" in a much bigger strategic game by the USA and UK . The UK has been used to help bring down the Icelandic economy as punishment because the USA was unhappy with them speaking to Russia to obtain economic funding after Europe refused to help earlier in the year . Russia has been upset by US "deployments" in Poland and Eastern Europe , etc and so may have offered funding to Iceland in return for strategic "favours" in retaliation . This was worrying the USA . Now Iceland's economy is damaged they will have to come begging to the IMF and eventually join the EU bringing them firmly back under the West's control . Unfortunately us poor innocent savers are a form of colateral damage in all this , a price worth paying in the eyes of the UK government to gain political brownie points with the new USA administration . May be this is what is concealed in the "sealed papers" . Surely the media or a hungry young journalist could have a FIELD DAY with all this and all the publicity is sure to encourage the powers that be to resolve this very quickly to avoid further international and political embarrasment . The easiest way to resolve this and make it go away quickly is for the money to start flowing and eventually we all get paid back and we SHUT UP and go away with our hard earned life savings and leave the strategic games to the political big boys again ! I hope they don't "shut" me up for saying this in a "public forum" !

Sorry but that is paranoia at its most intense!!!

Icelandic banks were brought down by an extremely flawed business model with debts ten times Icelands GDP that once the credit crunch started quickly collapsed like a pack of cards. Nothing to do with the USA. Russian help was sought AFTER the collapse

Have faith in reports that UK KSF assets are substantial and the likes of Transport for London have been assured that they will probably get all their money back

If they do then so should we

No That's already been done and advice from the media is, that we've got our message across, large numbers of e-mails to the media at least will just get deleted.

We should write to the Law Gazette, and see if they are willing to print something in their journal regarding the unlawful action by the Government in seizing KSF(IOM) Ltd assets, to the detriment of other British Citizens. This will our plight to the fore, and hopefully some more movement. There bound to be some interest from constitutional/administrative lawyers on this matter. There email address for the editor is:-

We do not know yet if the government's actions were unlawful . But a discussion about this ,and other issues regarding our case could be rewarding . It is worth pursuing.

Please see the new Forum topic on "Don't Send too much email".
Your idea could be seriously counter-productive.

What I have just noticed is ...

There are currently 91 users and 511 guests online.

Hopefully they're Journalists, and MP's researchers, rather than just idle web-surfers ;-)

How can that counter productive ?

I worked in a media orientated industry for over 20 years, One thing i learned is ,Once you have there attention ,you have to keep it,,,by any means necessary, If you do not keep up the pressure ,they loose interest.
I assume we do not want them to loose interest ?

A media representative has already told us that LARGE numbers of e-mails are just getting deleted. What they want now, I imagine,is just one person sending a press release from the group every so often and not hundreds of e-mails swamping their inboxes every day, which they don't have time to read.
