Does anyone else feel upset by this? What has happened the 50k guaruntee by IOM? Does anyone feel the IOM govt seems to be avoiding responsibility to protect its savers?

Are the liquidators / bank staff trying to draw this out as long as possible to make sure they themselves get through the recession ok, where as we are all up to our knees in debt?

What with the 30+ bank staff and dozens of PWC people the burn rate on this bank must be massive, and with these constant delays there is no return on the investment. I am sick of the whole debacle.

We should insist on a webcam being installed so that we can see just how busy they are??!! Lots of images of people with their feet up on desks and the directors making discreet trips to the shredder every few minutes. What minuted meetings?

I would say that I'm ROTFPMSL but people would think that I'm some sort of teenager with too much time on their hands!

Yep! mk

glad you enjoyed it, it turned into a bit of laugh, not sure if everyone shared the joke - but hey - as you well know, "that's life"

there's another little bit on the film rights to the this saga and a couple of suggestions for actors -- lost where that went to!!!

As difficult as this might be, don't be down hearted. This is the best outcome. During the first two court hearings, the SOA was not on the table and we did not have a team negotiating directly with the IOMG. At this hearing we did.

This result tells the IOMG that the DAG is willing to consider an SOA provided that it is properly fleshed out and can be seen to be viable, while at the same time sending out a message, via the very short adjournment given, that the court will not allow the endless shilly-shallying. In 21 days, it's either put up an acceptable SOA or rev up the old DCS. Personally, I think it will eventually come down to the latter, but at least there is an end in sight to the gravy train flunkies living off our money.

The best thing that happened today is that the Deputy Deemster did not nod through the application for a 60 day adjournment, but rather put those like alix Partners under pressure to put up, or shut up.

I have posted elsewhere that I don't see a fundamental difference in end result between an SoA and the DCS, and prefer the latter as it is fixed by statute, but above all I am so pleased the DD did not fall for the Treasury/IoMG approach, and took on board DAG's affidavit.

Definitely the best day for quite a while, so hang in there.
