146 comments on the BBC website is nothing - maybe 2-3% of the Uk depositors.

It's about 10% of our members - is it too much effort for the rest?

In order to have any impact we need EVERY member to comment.

Guys are you losing heart? We're trying to set up a protest march, so far i've had ONE single person willing to march, this is pathetic. We have just two choices here:

  1. Sit back and wait to see if we get any dosh back, or
  2. Get off our arses and do EVERYTHING that we can to force HMG to sort this out.

What more do we have to lose? Even if we fail to recoup our funds at least we have the satisfaction of making sure everyone knows what our government has done and is capable of doing to everyone else out there.

There are core members working doggedly behind the scenes to raise our profile, get legal advice, man this site etc. etc. but the rest of us need to take action too.

Just post my commnet

Just post my comment on the BBC website.

There are 168 comments so far.

Thanks every one for your support; this site is a great relief.

We were advised by some friendly media folks back in the early days not to do a media blitz - this will lose us friends. This was one reason why the London group was set up to coordinate all these contacts.

There are certainly many 'tough situation comments' on the iPM site, genuine cases from genuine people, though a good number are in my view, a tad lengthy. Following ripped Off's idea, what other views are there on 'blitzing' the media with these stories?

This is a good idea, but we need to blitz the media at the same time.

First thing's first, we need email addresses for the main newspapers, ie. The Times, Guardian, Mail, Observer and any others you can think of. Does anybody have some of the editors email addresses ?

Please be aware before you start blitzing people, ie the Media, that they will, if they start receiving loads of emails for specific subjects, block or junk further emails of the same subject, just like HM government do. This is why the Media group of this forum do not blitz, but use their contacts constructively and release information/bulletins to the press at times that suit OUR agenda not theirs.

Agreed completely. The

Agreed completely. The London Team have the contacts, and know how to play things to our best advantage. Behaving like a mob will not enhance our case, IMO.

I just posted on the BBC site and would encourage ALL others to do so. More posts, stronger message.

Agree a good idea to blitz the media also, drawing their attention to the hopefully growing BBC posts list also.

Colinalvin63 - I recall seeing that the London Group had put together lists of media contacts, and were the central point for media contact. Perhaps if you contact them or if they can comment here please. We do need to keep exposure up in my view.

Please can someone in the London team inform their media contacts how many comments we have on the BBC Radio 4 PM web site. It stands at 146 now.

Maybe just send them a web link via email and say that the BBC are covering our story and do they want an opportunity to embarass the government also.
