Slogan

Totally agree with other comments on this string, should insert ''back" after We want our money...
Good news coverage today and thanks for the petition delivery!
We need to bombard the FSC with requests to delay the petition.

Slogan

Could just add the word "back" beside the logo, so we have:

WE WANT OUR MONEY BACK!

or

KAUPTHING I.O.M DEPOSITORS
WE WANT OUR OWN MONEY BACK!

Slogan: Public image of offshore banking

Elsewhere there is concern that UK public still believe that offshore banking is all about rich people and tax dodgers. So, anything new in the logo/slogan must also work towards dispelling that myth.... maybe (just a quick thought) ordinary people who just want to get their money (lives?) back

I like this a lot - could

I like this a lot - could replace the "small group of determined people" in my opinion.

If you can think of something

If you can think of something better with a snappy slogan in about 1-10 words, we're open to ideas... KSFIOM isn't necessarily our prime target for action, but we have to indicate that this is the bank this site is about, not KSFUK etc

SLOGAN

Can we somehow stress the fact that we are not looking for a bail-out funded by the UK taxpayer but the IOM bank's money, ie ours, much of which is in limbo in the UK. Remember that most of the UK banks were bailed out using taxpayer's money so people in the UK are likely to assume that we just want the same...whereas we have been told that our money, or a large percentage of it,is out there and should be recoverable.

something like "We don't seek a bail-out just our own money back" ???

Text change

Could you do anything with what I feel is becoming our motto - rightly - "We won't give in and we won't give up"

Banner, logo, footer - "Failed" bank?

That text (at the bottom of every page) was something we inherited from the people who put the original site together. Possibly it should be changed, though from my perspective the bank has failed me. I don't want to be talking to the media, I don't care about politics, I just want to login in to my account, check my balances, and maybe withdraw some money.

Still, concerns about the implied targeting of the header/logo are valid, and I have started a thread elsewhere about the same topic.

Any specific ideas for a better banner/logo? We could keep the logo (doesn't attack the bank directly) and change the text, but maybe keep the font?

It's simple and short - as required

We cannot explain all the complications of the situation - we can't say - " Bristish, IOM, Icelandic governments et al we want our money bank. We're being ignored and penalised."

New look site

Afraid I agree with you, ajm. Amusing but inaccurate. Wrong target, wrong tone. I'd rather see something aimed at the British/Iceland governments targetting the return of our bank's solvency/guarantee.

New look site

Whilst I think the new logo and slogan are very amusing, I'm not sure that they give the right impression of what our group is all about. At this stage I understand that the bank itself was not at fault (indeed, Alan Bell says that it was functioning well), it was merely the victim of circumstances created by the UK and Icelandic governments. It also seems there is a possibility that the bank (or sections of it) will be purchased. I think we should be very careful about the image we project of the bank and this new look website shouts out loud and clear that we think the bank is to blame for our situation. Equally, we should not refer to the 'failed' KSF as the bank is still functioning and may even continue to do so.
