I'm sorry. There is a saying that ALL news has a shelf life of no more than 10 days no matter how alarming, startling, threatening, whatever. It seems to me that because of the complicated nature of this case, hidden agendas, conspiracies, etc, it has been impossible to get our case off the ground properly in a short space of time. It is my belief that the media and consequently the politicians will lose interest in all of this any time now and I'm sorry to say I think there is little hope of a satisfactory outcome.

Carol I notice you have been a member for some 5 days - where were you 30 days ago when this site was founded and such a small number of people (in % terms of GB population) have done so much to get us to this point.

10 days has long gone and we are still here, growing in numbers and being the preverbial thorn in the side of the agressor - - & I for one am not going anywhere--- as another in this forum suggests we do positive thinking here - Back track over what has been achieved and then join in and pester the politions and people with the power to put this mess right.

Have a nice drop of Chardonay and get typing - good luck.

Dear Carol! The way I read the subject heading of your post is like this - in 10 days time our current suffering will have terminated and we shall have been reunited with our money! Just think of that song that generates so much positive energy: "We shall overcome, We shall overcome, We shall overcome pretty sooooooooonnnnn!"

like the proverbial thorn - this isn't going away, as others have commented too many angles - too many people now with nothing more to do other than keep twitching that thorn (myself included), the power of the internet.

So far we have to look at the very positive position we have acheived :- whenever in history has so few quite ordinary citizens brought such attention to any topic over such a short period of time, never mind just UK local - this is world wide attention we have acheived - just in UK alone 8,000 out of a population of 61,000,000 in % terms fractions of a percent 0.0013%

If we are in for a long drawn out war of attrition, many of us have nothing more to lose so we'll just keep fighting, also don't forget most people on here are proffessionals and some were when in full time employment in positions directing the influence and power of the politicians and therefore know how the system works and the best ways to keep that thorn hurting.

Never give up, that's what they are after.

Dear Carol,

We do "positive thinking" here. ;-)

It's not going to go away, because there are too many people fighting angles everywhere ... the power of the Internet and all that.

I had Jersey's Chief Minister 'phone me at home this afternoon, and he's meeting next week with the IoM Chief Minister, and the IoM Chief Minister is also meeting with the Chancellor ....

Now, go and pour a large one! ;-)

The media and politicians have been hit with this for 30 days now and we are still getting noticed. This was at a time when there were fewer depositors who were aware of this forum.

The politicians may like to loose interest but it is our job to make it as painful for them as possible
