Has the £1000 many people were talking about been sent out yet? I have not recieved anything.
Also, are there any web-based chat rooms open for us? I won't be able to use things like mirc or yahoo, like many people as i'm in work, but i have seen things like http based ones before we could use.

So much for the "top secret" info from someone who I am prohibited from mentioning, suggesting we would be lucky to get anything before end of March - better people stop talking out of their flanges than spout unsubstantiated rubbish.
I suppose a grand is better than a smack in the chops with a wet kipper, but I for one will not accept it if it means I have to subscribe to the DCS,

£1000 from IOM Government
The resolution in Tynwald was only a declaratory resolution of intent. At the Jnauary sitting there wiioll have to be an order passed and then payments can be made. I reckon March
The Statement letter from
The Statement letter from Mike Simpson was posted on 23 Dec ... it includes a form asking you to confirm details etc. The letter also notes that the data will be used for EITHER the DCS [if that is triggered] or if the IoM Govt decides on the advance payment. That will be in 2009, then, unless the IoM Treasury Dept is working over Christmas.

Can you tell me where Mike Simpson's posting of December 23 is - can't find it or the forms asking for details. I did write to the bank a few weeks ago but haven't heard anything. Can we assume that the 1,000 pounds they're talking about will be distributed to all depositors?

Took 24h from IoM to Jersey ... yours may be caught up in a strike or the Christmas flood of mail. Mine was sent Air Mail - but then all our mail comes by air ;-)

Oops, just properly read the statement for 19th december. Says there won't be an update until after Christmas. Oh well :-(
